Why did you choose your proposed course and institution?

I plan to study in Education program with support from this scholarship at The University of Melbourne. Firstly, I want to say
education is “Teaching knowledge to others and receiving knowledge from someone else.”

“Education” is one of the most important parts to develop the country. Myanmar’s education system is in a much-weakened
state. The physical condition and human resource capacity of the system are very poor compared with other countries.
Moreover, rural literacy is lower than urban literacy. Due to a lack of education, many illiterate people suffer the hardships of
discrimination, untouchability, and injustices prevailing in society. If all the people will be educated, this ultimately leads to the
upliftment of economically weaker sections of society. By getting an education, people’s standard of life gets improved. It brings
equal opportunity for both men and women and educated people will be able to create a better society. By providing education,
poverty can be removed and every person can provide they are contributing to developing the country.

Around the world, most developed countries have a high education system and high teaching skills that lead to being advanced
countries. Among them, Australia is famous as an educational country and has many international students.

My biggest dream is to attend the Master of Education program at Melbourne University which is Australia’s Number One
University. And also, Melbourne University offers many international scholarships annually. It supports qualified professors,
teachers, and technical skills in their respective fields. Melbourne University’s Education program is my interest field in which I
can learn how to manage the education system, educational strategies, and teaching methods. And I believe that this program
can lead me to be a skillful teacher and teach my students with the right teaching methods. Because of the above all the facts I
have mentioned, I choose my proposed course and institution.

Half of Myanmar’s population is not educated people and they have no other knowledge like communication, business, health
care, education, society, and technology. Due to a lack of education, many illiterate people suffer the hardships of discrimination,
untouchability, and injustices prevailing in society. If all the people will be educated, this ultimately leads to the upliftment of
economically weaker sections of society. By getting an education, people’s standard of life gets improved.

“Education” is the most ingredient in changing the world. It brings equal opportunity for both men and women and educated
people will be able to create a better society. It also acts as the backbone of human society. Lacking education may lead to
numerous social problems like poor health, internal conflict, poor living standards, and many more. By providing education,
poverty can be removed and every person can provide they are contributing to developing the country.

Around the world, most developed countries have a high education system and high teaching skills that lead to being advanced
countries. Among them, Australia is famous as an educational country and has many international students. Most international
students recommend Australia which has world-famous universities, high technic, and a good environment.

One of my biggest wishes is to attend the Master of Education program at Melbourne University which is Australia’s Number One
University and world rank University. And then, The University of Melbourne gives many international scholarships annually. It
supports qualified professors, teachers, and technical skills in their respective fields. Melbourne University’s Education program
is my interest field in which I can learn how to manage the education system, educational strategies, and teaching methods. And
I believe that this program can lead me to be a skillful teacher and teach my students with the right teaching methods.

So that affects the country’s state. Education enables the process of the Nation’s Fast
Development.
And also it can lead to the productivity of the country and contribute to human resources.
And then the government cannot support and use a lot of budget in the education field because
our country is poor.
Myanmar’s adult literacy rate is only 89.5 percent
And also, it is not developing in technology, social society, business, etc.
Nowadays, the world is changing and living standard is high day by day.
On the other hand, the relation between education and communication is apparent. One of the
most important benefits of education is that it improves personal lives and helps society to run
smoothly.
Its importance in life cannot be ignored.
Some of the parents want to learn school education for their children but they have no enough money. Because they
have to struggle a lot to live their life. That is one of the reasons why they cannot concentrate on education. So we
need other support and educational projects from developed countries and organizations. In addition, we need to
change our education system.

It offers highest education system, teaching and research excellence.

How will the proposed study contribute to your career?

I believe that this program will contribute to my career. “Teachers” are the most important factor in students’ success. They
provide them with life skills and faster positive attitudes to their students. Teaching practices and content knowledge can impact
self-efficacy in specific subjects and happiness in class.

Teachers know her students on a deep level including their aspirations, motivations, cultural backgrounds and social and
emotional skills. When a teacher can control over a cooperative, collaborative and respectful group of students everyone in the
room enjoys a more positive educational experience. Teachers are not enough to be good at teaching, need to understand
children’s mentor and characters. A good teacher has the ability to change the direction of a child’s life by helping, supporting,
and accurately assessing a child. Children who have special educational needs, behavior or emotional difficulties can all be
assessed, supported, and encouraged by a good teacher. Teachers are the front line role in shaping the next generation. A
teacher can create a learning and teaching environment by making strategy and developing a particular mindset.

I am trying to be a good teacher so I apply this scholarship program. First of all, Master of Education program can provides skills
for teaching, educational methods and strategies to prepare curriculum for students, and gain extra knowledge about education.
Secondly, this can improve my communication skills, social society and personality. It is not only shows our students that life-
long learning is a worthy pursuit, but it provides avenues for personal growth and career advancement. Moreover, I can build
professional career and promote our education system needs. According to increase student populations, need to promote
skillful teacher populations. We all have the responsibility for contributing good education system to the future generation. After
this program, I am pretty sure I can be skillful teacher and construct my professional life.

Otherwise, she is good at learning but needs to have a good communication skill with her friends and environment. So we need
to think that girl has something problems or family case or that is her real personality?

Related to this case, we need to know how to attract children to participate in team work and have a good friendship for those
child.

It is only the teacher who can design a classroom layout conductive to learning, who can recognize students’ achievements and
who can set reasonal expectations.

It is important to reinforce positive behavior which is the powerful way to motivate students to be on their best behaviors.
How have you contributed to solving a challenge and to implementing change or reform? (Be specific and include: what aspect/s
of your leadership knowledge, skills and practice you consider to be well established and effective; which people or organizations
you worked with to solve the problem; and what creative methods were used)

Every job has a more or less challenges and difficulties. When you met that time, the most important thing is no need to be
stress and depression. Everything has a solution.

I am freelance and private teacher. So, I have met various kinds of students and behaviors. Teaching is not easy for everyone.
Because teachers need to understand students’ characters, mentor and their communication skills. And also, need to be patient
and have assessment skills and management.

According to my teaching experiences, some students are intelligence, have good manners, personality and develop critical
thinking. That is the reason of their parents do not control their thinking and curiosity about something. Those children can easily
learn their lessons, solve problems easily and have a good friendship. I am happy when I meet that children.

Another experience is one of my students who is 6 and Grade (1). She is cute and silence child but her characters are strange
than normal child. The reason is she speaks rarely with her friends. When some children are playing, she does not play together
with them and stay alone. And then, when I speak to her, she reply a little. I think she is introvert and it is her own style. Among
them, one of the differences is she rarely smile when I tell funny stories or jokes.

Related to this causes, I have to find ways to change her personality and characters. Because that can be barriers when she
grow up. Teacher is responsible for their children have a good behavior. So I used some useful methods to change her. The first
one is “Saying Appreciation”. When she does good things or manners, I say “Good job” or “You are so kind” or “You are
excellent”. By saying like that can motivate to learn lessons and pleased in her mind. Second thing is “Drawing” that can attract
children’s mind, support brainstorming and team work skills and develop creative thoughts. I teach to her how to draw pictures
and paints like animals, cartoon pictures, fruits and something like that at once per week. That time I felt that she was happy to
learn exercises and active to participate class activities. After that,

I teach to her how to communicate with friends and participate class activities. After painting time, I tell them funny stories and
educated stories. Moreover, I have to teach how to behave with older person and their friends. That is the most important thing to
learn them. Children are not enough to be good at learning, need to have a social skill.

Turning everyday into a learning day will help your child develop the internal motivation to learn in the classroom. Game-based
learning can be very advantages for many reasons. Using games as an educational tool not only provides opportunities for
deeper learning and development of non-cognitive skills, it helps motivate children to want to learn. Games that are entertaining
provide the added benefit of motivation children to want to engage in the learning process and want to learn more. Game-based
learning is also an effective motivation for team-based learning- which can be particularly beneficial for children in a classroom
setting.

Game-based learning is a great way for parents and teachers to introduce new ideas, grammar, concepts and knowledge in a
way that motivates children to learn.
