Introduction

Strategic management within organizations has become an important factor, given the fast,

demanding and uncertain environment we live in today. companies are forced to survive the

challenges posed by globalization, technological advances, changing trends and consumer

expectations, among others. for this they must adopt strategies that allow them to make

planned decisions to achieve goals and objectives optimally and efficiently, the expected

result is to be able to be more competitive.

Strategic management is important because it allows direct linkage with business results.

The following is a review of strategic diagnostic tools for business management.

General objective

Apply strategic diagnostic tools in companies to identify their position in the industry or

market.

Specific objectives

To analyze the case: Airbnb in order to describe the problem, causes and consequences

presented in the strategic direction.

our company and that are considered
within a PESTEL analysis cover all
those aspects related to the state
organization and that directly or
indirectly affect the business processes
of the business.
Economic factors The economic factor includes (Laura Delgado, s.f)
everything related to the behavior of the
economy, the flow of money and goods
and services, both nationally and
internationally. Here we must consider
the economic situation of the country or
region in which the company has an
impact and the changes in economic
cycles (crisis or boom).
Socio-Cultural This field includes the factors that are (Rosario Peiró, 2021)
factors related to the basic characteristics,
preferences, tastes and consumption

habits of society: Age, total disposable


income, growth rate of society and
education.

Conclusions

The strategic diagnosis allows organizations to be directed in a better way, taking into

account their current situation. It is the starting point for strategic formulation through

situation analysis. Its main benefit is that the information that must be solved and taken

advantage of is prioritized and taken care of.

In a diagnosis, the main strengths and weaknesses of the company are reviewed, followed

by an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the competition. A tool that allows this

analysis to be carried out is the competitive profile matrix, with which the company's

information is compared against the competition.

With the result, it is expected to prioritize the most important thing that must be solved

and the opportunities are also indicated.

PESTEL analysis is a strategic analysis tool that studies how the different factors of the

macro environment affect organizations.
