I, Investigator Matthew Iverson

attest to the following and state:
On February 24, 2022, at about 0359 hours, Alaska State Troopers (AST) ln Fairbanks received a 911 call from Jonathan
Head who stated his friend Is dead at 200 City Lights Boulevard. Jonathan Identified his friend as David Wasson. Jonathan
stated David Is stiff and has been dead for a while, but he wasn't able to find his phone to call AST. Jonathan stated David

show AST where David was located. Jonathan told Troopers, David was last known alive approximately 24 hours before

Troopers noted Jonathan was slurring his words and was yelllng for David to wake up. Troopers further noted Jonathan
and Kenneth were told to wait upstairs inside the residence where they began to argue. Troopers noted he observed dried
blood on David's upper lip and around his teeth along with dried blood on the right side of David's mouth and on the right
side of David's nose. Troopers noted David had llvldity present and was consistent with the position of David's body but
he also had a "defect" to his upper lip where the lip was pushed upward.

David was sent to the State Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy due to the surrounding circumstances.

On March 16, 2022, Trooper Hudson received an email from Adella Pacheco who ultimately knows David and Jonathan.
Within the email, Adella stated she had additional Information regarding David's death. Adella stated she has known David
for 13 years and is a close friend. Adella stated on Thursday March 3, 2022, she arrived at work, Walmart, where she Is a
cashier and saw Jonothan. Adella stated she ultimately began speaking to Jonathan who stated he and David would always
argue. Adella stated Jonathan mentioned how David had a gallon bottle of vodka and he wouldn't share with him. Adella
stated Jonathan mentioned he saw David with the bottle of an alcoholic beverage, and he started hitting David over and
over again. Adella stated Jonathan began to demonstrate with his body how he was hitting David which consisted of
Jonathan making his hands Into a fist and punching the air. Adella stated Jonathan stated he just kept going when David
yelled out "why are you hitting me". Adella stated Jonathan mentioned he continued to hit David over and over until he
"snapped out of lt'' and stopped. Adella stated Jonathan felt guilty because he was hitting David which may have killed
him, and he feels responsible for David being gone.

Adella Pacheco was contacted by Investigators.

On March 30, 2022, Trooper Hudson received the report from the SMEO which Indicated the cause of David's death was a
right to left shift of his brain with herniations due to acute subdural hematoma of the right cerebral hemisphere. It was
further noted the Injury was possibly caused by blunt impact of the head with contributing conditions are a history of acute
and chronic drug and alcohol abuse. At the time of the autopsy, the SMEO was not aware of a physical assault which
occurred between Jonathan and David the night David was reported deceased.

AST Investigators contacted Jonathan on April 21, 2022. Jonathan admitted to living with David at 200 City Lights
Boulevard. Jonathan stated everyone Inside the residence was consuming vodka. Jonathan stated he was going to take
David's dog outside and David told him not to. Jonathan stated David was not acting like himself and he punched David
on his head between five to ten times. Jonathan stated he used a mix of an open and closed hand to punch David, Jonathan
stated David asked him "why are you hitting me" but David did not say anything else, nor did he attempt to defend himself.
Jonathan stated he went to sleep and when he woke up, David was not moving, had no pulse, and was cold to the touch.
Jonathan stated after about three hours, he took the phone which was underneath David and made the report of David
being deceased.

Jonathan admitted to telling Adella about assaulting David because "it was for her sake not mine". Jonathan committed
Murder in the Second Degree by knowingly engaging ln conduct that resulted ln David's death under circumstances
manifesting an extreme Indifference to the value of human life and Assault ln the Second Degree due to Jonathan recklessly
causing serious physical Injury to David.
