1 Work in pairs. Read. Point to the countries on a map.

1. I’m Lupita. I’m from a country called Mexico. Mexico is in North America. It’s between the US and
South America. Chocolate is from my country!

2. I’m Tim. I’m from a country called New Zealand. New Zealand is in Oceania. It’s near Australia.
There are a lot of interesting birds in New Zealand.

3. I’m Isko. I’m from a country called the Philippines. The Philippines are a lot of islands in Asia. They are
between Japan and Australia. We have fantastic food here!

4. I’m Julia. I’m from a country called Chile. Chile is a long country in South America. It’s next to
Argentina. The alerce tree is from Chile. Some trees are 4,000 years old!

5. I’m Dita. I’m from a country called Madagascar. Madagascar is an island in Africa. It’s in the ocean
near South Africa. We have beautiful big trees called baobab trees here and a lot of lemurs. They are
animals like monkeys!
