For your safety please read the following information.
Warning: This appliance must be earthed.
The appliance must be connected to a 220-240 volts 50/60 cycle AC supply by
means of a three-pin socket and should be protected by a 13-amp fuse in the
plug.
The appliance is supplied with a rewireable 13 amp 3 pin plug fitted with a 13
amp fuse. Should the fuse require replacement, it must be replaced with a fuse
rated at 13 amp and approved to BS1362.
If the mains plug is unsuitable for the socket outlet in your home or is removed
for any other reason, then the old plug should be disposed of safely to prevent
the hazard of electric shock.
There is a danger of electric shock if the old plug is inserted into any 13-amp
socket outlet.

How to wire a 13 amp plug

Important
The wires in the mains lead on this appliance are coloured in accordance with
the following code:

Green and Yellow - Earth

Blue – Neutral
Brown – Live

As the colours may not correspond with the

markings identifying the terminals in your plug proceed as follows.

The green and yellow wire must be connected to the terminal in the plug which
is marked with the letter E or with the earth symbol or coloured green and
yellow.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L.
You must make sure the lead is firmly secured under the cord clamp.

16. Be careful when opening the lid immediately after the water has boiled, the
steam coming out of the kettle is very hot constituting a risk of scalding.
17. Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than water. Never fill the kettle
beyond the maximum level indication. Do not operate the kettle if water is
below the minimum level (0.75 liter).
18. Do not fill the kettle when positioned on base. Dry the water on the bottom
of the body before placing it onto power base.
19. This kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
20. Do not insert any object into slots or holes of the kettle.
CAUTION:
y Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its stand.
y If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected constituting a
scalding hazard.
y Never immerse the kettle or its lead in water or any other liquid.
WARNINGS:
z Do not use this appliance within reach of a bath or a sink or any
vessel containing water or liquids.
z Close the lid until a click is heard so that steam is directed away
from the handle.
z Never push the lid handle to open the lid while the water is boiling.
z If the appliance is dropped in water do not reach for it, switch off and
disconnect at the mains and drain the water before retrieving the
appliance, do not use the appliance again until it has been checked
by a qualified service agent.
z Never repair the appliance by yourself. To reduce the risk of fire or

base by yourself.

USING THE KETTLE

Before first use, fill the kettle with fresh water up to the maximum level and let
the water boil once, pour out the hot water and rinse the kettle once more.

Boil-dry protection
This kettle is equipped with boil-dry protection. This kettle is automatically
switched off and the power light goes off if it is accidentally switched on when
there is no water in it. Allow to cool down for 15 minutes before refilling cold
water.

Make sure the kettle is switched off and unplugged from the power socket.
1. Remove the kettle from the base. Fill the kettle with desired amount of
fresh water either through the spout or through the open lid.
y The water amount ranges from the minimum amount 0.75L to the
maximum amount 1.7L.
y Open the lid by pushing the lid handle.

2. Close the lid and place the kettle on the base.
3. Insert the plug into the power socket and push the switch under the handle
to “I”. The power light comes on to indicate the kettle starts heating up.
4. The kettle switches off automatically and the switch resets to “0” when the
water boils and the power light goes off.
Note: You can stop the boiling process by lifting the switch to “0” and the
power light goes off.

CLEANING AND DESCALING

Warning:
Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow to cool down
before cleaning.
Do not use chemical, steel wool or abrasive cleaner to clean the appliance.
Clean the outside of the kettle using a damp cloth.
Lift the filter out of the kettle. Wash it with clean water and dry thoroughly
before replacing in the kettle.

Descaling the kettle

1. Fill the kettle with water up to half of the maximum level and add the juice
of 1 lemon.
2. After bringing the solution to boil, leave the solution in the kettle for 15
minutes.
3. Re-boil the solution then leave it in the kettle for further 15 minutes.
4. Boil the solution a third time then rinse the kettle well.

15. Pour remplacer le cordon d'alimentation, adressez-vous au constructeur,
à son centre de service ou à une personne qualifiée pour éviter tout risque
d'électrocution. Vérifiez que le nouveau cordon présente les mêmes
spécifications que l'ancien.
16. Ouvrez doucement le couvercle de la bouilloire après que l'eau a bouilli.
La vapeur est alors très chaude et risque de vous brûler.
17. Ne mettez que de l'eau à bouillir dans votre bouilloire. Ne dépassez
jamais le niveau maximal de remplissage indiqué. N'allumez pas la
bouilloire lorsque le niveau d'eau est en deçà du minimum (0,75 l).
18. Ne remplissez pas la bouilloire alors qu'elle est posée sur sa base.
Essuyez le dessous de la bouilloire avant de poser celle-ci sur sa base.

UTILISATION DE LA BOUILLOIRE
Avant d'utiliser votre bouilloire pour la première fois, remplissez-la d'eau fraîche
jusqu'au niveau maximum, mettez l'eau à bouillir, jetez cette l'eau et rincez la
bouilloire.

Protection contre un fonctionnement à sec

Votre bouilloire est équipée d'un dispositif empêchant tout fonctionnement en
l'absence d'eau. En cas d'allumage accidentel de la bouilloire alors qu'elle est
vide, ce dispositif bascule automatiquement le commutateur de marche/arrêt
sur la position arrêt et éteint le témoin de charge. Attendez 15 minutes avant de
remplir la bouilloire et de l'allumer.

Le cas échéant, éteignez la bouilloire et débranchez son cordon d'alimentation

de la prise secteur.
5. Enlevez la bouilloire de sa base. Remplissez-la d'eau fraîche jusqu'au
niveau que vous désirez, soit par le bec verseur soit en ouvrant le
couvercle.
y Respectez les limites de remplissage fixées par le constructeur : 0,75 l
au minimum et 1,7 l au maximum.
y Ouvrez le couvercle à l'aide de sa poignée.
6. Fermez le couvercle et posez la bouilloire sur sa base.
7. Branchez le cordon d'alimentation dans une prise secteur et basculez le
commutateur de marche/arrêt de la bouilloire (sous la poignée) sur la
position "I". Le témoin de charge s'allume et l'eau commence à chauffer.
8. Dès que l'eau arrive à ébullition, la bouilloire s'éteint automatiquement
(position "0" du commutateur de marche/arrêt) ainsi que le témoin de
marche.

Remarque : Vous pouvez arrêter la bouilloire à tout moment en basculant le

commutateur de marche/arrêt sur la position arrêt ("0"). Le témoin de marche
s'éteint.

NETTOYAGE ET DÉTARTRAGE
Avertissement :
Débranchez toujours votre bouilloire de la prise secteur et laissez–la se
refroidir avant de la nettoyer.
N'utilisez aucun produit chimique, aucune paille de d'acier et aucun produit
abrasif pour nettoyer votre bouilloire.
Essuyez la surface extérieure avec un chiffon légèrement humide.
Retirez le filtre de la bouilloire. Lavez-le avec de l'eau propre, essuyez-le
complètement et remettez-le en place dans la bouilloire.

Détartrage de la bouilloire
5. Remplissez la bouilloire à moitié d'eau et ajoutez le jus de 1 citron.
6. Allumez la bouilloire, amenez ce mélange à ébullition, éteignez la bouilloire
et laissez le mélange dans la bouilloire pendant 15 minutes.
7. Recommencez la manipulation de l'instruction 3 et là également laissez
l'eau et le citron pendant 15 minutes.
8. Remettez à bouillir une troisième fois mais jetez tout de suite l'eau et rincez
la bouilloire.

16. Wees voorzichtig wanneer u meteen nadat het water heeft gekookt het
deksel gaat openen. De stoom die uit de waterkoker komt is zeer heet en
kan brandwonden veroorzaken.
17. Gebruik de waterkoker uitsluitend voor het koken van water. Vul de kan
nooit voorbij de maximummarkering van het waterpeil. Gebruik de
waterkoker niet wanneer het waterpeil zich onder de minimummarkering
(0,75 liter) bevindt.
18. Vul de waterkoker niet terwijl hij op het onderstel staat. Droog de
onderkant van de kan af voordat u hem op het onderstel neerzet.
19. Deze waterkoker mag alleen met het meegeleverde onderstel worden
gebruikt.
20. Stop geen voorwerpen in de sleuven of openingen van het apparaat.
VOORZICHTIG:
• Zorg ervoor dat de waterkoker is uitgeschakeld voordat u hem van het
onderstel afneemt.
• Wanneer de waterkoker overvol is, kan kokend water uit de kan
worden gestoten, wat een gevaar van brandwonden inhoudt.
• Dompel de waterkoker of het netsnoer nooit onder in water of andere
vloeistof.

WAARSCHUWINGEN:
z Gebruik dit apparaat niet in de nabijheid van een bad of spoelbak of
eender welke houder die water of vloeistof bevat.
z Sluit het deksel zo dat u een klikgeluid hoort, zodat de stoom weg

z Druk terwijl het water kookt nooit op de hendel om het deksel te
openen.
z Wanneer het apparaat in water is gevallen mag u uw hand niet in het
water stoppen. Schakel indien mogelijk het stopcontact uit en trek
de stekker uit het stopcontact. Laat vervolgens al het water
weglopen voordat u het apparaat aanraakt. Gebruik het apparaat dan
niet meer tot het door een gekwalificeerde reparateur is nagekeken.
z Probeer dit apparaat nooit zelf te repareren. Om een risico van brand
of elektrische schokken te voorkomen mag u de bodem van de kan
of het onderstel nooit zelf proberen te verwijderen.
z Verwijder het deksel niet terwijl het water kookt.

HET GEBRUIK VAN DE WATERKOKER
Vul voordat u de waterkoker voor het eerst in gebruik neemt de kan met vers
water tot op de maximummarkering en laat het water één keer koken. Giet het
gekookte water weg en spoel de waterkoker nogmaals.

Beveiliging tegen droogkoken

Deze waterkoker is uitgerust met een beveiliging tegen droogkokend, wat
betekent dat hij automatisch uitschakelt en het indicatorlampje van de stroom
dooft wanneer de waterkoker per ongeluk wordt ingeschakeld zonder water in
de kan. Laat 15 minuten afkoelen voordat u de kan opnieuw met koud water
vult.

Zorg ervoor dat de waterkoker uitgeschakeld en de stekker uit het stopcontact

is getrokken.
1. Neem de kan van het onderstel. Vul de kan met de gewenste hoeveelheid
vers water, u kunt dit via de tuit of via het geopende deksel doen.
y De hoeveelheid water dient minimum 0,75 liter en maximum 1,7 liter
te bedragen.
y Maak het deksel open door tegen de hendel te duwen.
2. Sluit het deksel en zet de kan op het onderstel.
3. Stop de stekker in het stopcontact en druk de schakelaar onder het
handvat naar de stand “I”. Het indicatorlampje van de stroom gaat branden,
aangevend dat de waterkoker opwarmt.
4. De waterkoker schakelt automatisch uit en de schakelaar stelt zich terug
naar de stand “0” wanneer het water kookt. Het indicatorlampje dooft dan.

Opmerking: u kunt het kookproces ook eerder onderbreken door de

schakelaar naar de stand “0” te tillen, zodat het indicatorlampje dooft.

SCHOONMAKEN EN ONTKALKEN
Waarschuwing:
Ontkoppel het apparaat altijd van de netvoeding en laat het afkoelen voordat u
het gaat schoonmaken.
Gebruik geen chemische schoonmaakproducten, staalwol of schuurproducten
om dit apparaat schoon te maken.
Maak de buitenzijde van de waterkoker schoon met een vochtige doek.
Til de filter uit de kan. Was in schoon water en droog zorgvuldig voordat u hem
terug in de ketel inzet.

Ontkalken van de kan

1. Vul de kan tot halverwege het maximumniveau met water en voeg het sap
van 1 citroen toe.
2. Breng deze oplossing aan de kook en laat daarna nog 15 minuten in de
kan staan.
3. Breng de oplossing opnieuw aan de kook en laat nog eens 15 minuten in
de kan staan.
4. Breng de oplossing een derde maal aan de kook en spoel dan zorgvuldig
uit.

POUŽÍVÁNÍ KONVICE
Před prvním použitím naplňte konvici až po ukazatel maximální výšky hladiny
čerstvou vodou a vodu jednou převařte, horkou vodu vylijte a konvici ještě
jednou vypláchněte.

Ochrana před vyvařením

Tato konvice je vybavena ochranou před vyvařením vody. Pokud je konvice

Prima del primo utilizzo riempire il bollitore d'acqua fino al livello massimo

Avvertenza:

12. El cable no deberá colgar por el borde de una mesa o mostrador, entrar
en contacto con superficies calientes y no deberán formarse nudos.
13. Colocar el aparato sobre una superficie estable antes de su utilización.
No colocar este aparato encima o cerca de una cocina caliente y

15. Si el cable eléctrico está dañado, este deberá ser sustituido por el
fabricante, el servicio técnico o persona con formación similar utilizando
un cable eléctrico del mismo tipo y características para evitar cualquier
accidente.
16. Extreme las precauciones al abrir la tapa inmediatamente después de
que hierva el agua, el vapor que sale de la jarra está muy caliente y
existe peligro de quemaduras.
17. No utilizar el hervidor para calentar ninguna sustancia distinta al agua.
No llenar la jarra por encima de la señal de nivel máximo. No poner el
hervidor en funcionamiento cuando el contenido de agua es inferior al
nivel mínimo (0.75 litros).
18. No llenar la jarra cuando está apoyada en la base. Secar la base de la
jarra antes de apoyarla en la base eléctrica.
19. Este hervidor de agua solo debe ser utilizado con la base suministrada.
20. No introducir ningún objeto en las ranuras y orificios del hervidor.
PRECAUCIÓN:
y Comprobar que el hervidor está apagado antes de separarlo de la base.
y Si la jarra se llena en exceso, el agua hirviendo podría escapar
provocando quemaduras.
y No sumergir el hervidor y el cable en agua ni otro tipo de líquido.

ADVERTENCIAS:
z No utilizar este aparato cerca de una bañera, fregadero o cualquier
recipiente con agua o líquido.
z Cierre la tapa hasta escuchar un clic, esto garantizará que el vapor
saldrá expulsado apartado del asa.
z No empujar el asa de la tapa para abrir la tapa durante la ebullición
del agua.
z Si el aparato cae dentro de un recipiente con agua, no deberá
intentar cogerlo. Apague el interruptor de la toma eléctrica,
desenchufe el cable y vacíe el agua del recipiente antes de intentar

Antes de utilizar el hervidor por primera vez, deberá llenar la jarra con agua
hasta la señal de nivel máximo y esperar hasta que el agua hierva una vez,
desechar el agua caliente y enjuagar la jarra una vez más.

Este hervidor está equipado con un dispositivo térmico de seguridad. El
hervidor se apagará automáticamente y la luz de conexión se apagará cuando
el hervidor se encienda accidentalmente sin agua. Espere unos 15 minutos
hasta que el hervidor se haya enfriado antes de volver a llenarlo con agua fría.

Compruebe que el hervidor está apagado y desenchufado de la toma

eléctrica.
1. Retire la jarra de la base. Llene la jarra con la cantidad de agua deseada a
través del pico o de la tapa abierta.
y La cantidad de agua debe ser entre el nivel mínimo de 0.75L hasta el
máximo de 1.7L.
y Abra la tapa pulsando el asa de la tapa.
2. Cierre la tapa y coloque el hervidor sobre la base.
3. Enchufe la clavija en la toma de pared y pulse el interruptor situado bajo el
asa, hasta la posición “I”. La luz de conexión se iluminará para indicar que
el hervidor comienza a calentarse.
4. El hervidor se apaga automáticamente y el interruptor regresa a la
posición “0” cuando el agua haya hervido y la luz de conexión se apagará.

Nota: Usted podrá detener el proceso de ebullición en cualquier momento

situando el interruptor en la posición “0” y la luz de conexión se apagará.

LIMPIEZA Y DESCALCIFICACIÓN
Advertencia:
Desenchufar siempre el aparato de la toma eléctrica y esperar hasta que se
haya enfriado antes de proceder a su limpieza.
No utilizar sustancias químicas, estropajos de acero ni limpiadores abrasivos
para limpiar el aparato.
Limpiar el exterior de la jarra utilizando un paño húmedo.
Extraer el filtro de la jarra. Limpiarlo con agua limpia y secarlo
minuciosamente antes de volver a colocarlo en la jarra.

Descalcificar el hervidor
1. Llenar el hervidor de agua hasta la mitad del nivel máximo y añadir el
zumo de 1 limón.
2. Después de que la solución hierva, dejar el contenido en la jarra durante
15 minutos.
3. Volver a hervir la solución y esperar durante otros 15 minutos.
4. Hervir la solución por tercera vez y después enjuagar la jarra.

UTILIZAÇÃO DA CHALEIRA
Antes da primeira utilização, encha a chaleira com água fresca até ao nível
máximo e deixa ferver a água uma vez, deite fora a água e encha a chaleira
novamente.

Protecção contra ferver em seco

Esta chaleira está equipada com protecção da fervura em seco. A chaleira é

desligada automaticamente e a luz de corrente apaga-se se for acidentalmente
ligada sem água. Deixe arrefecer durante 15 minutos antes de voltar a encher
com água fria.

Assegure-se de que a chaleira está desligada e a ficha removida da tomada de

corrente.
1. Retire a chaleira da base de suporte. Encha a chaleira com o volume de
água fresca pretendido, através do bico ou da tampa aberta.
y O volume de água varia entre o mínimo de 0,75 litros e o máximo de
1,7 litros.
y Abra a tampa, pressionando a respectiva pega.
2. Feche a tampa e coloque a chaleira na base.
3. Introduza a ficha na tomada de corrente e pressione o interruptor por baixo
da pega, para a posição “I”. A luz de corrente acende-se, indicando que a
chaleira começou a aquecer.
4. A chaleira desliga-se automaticamente e o interruptor volta à posição “0”
quando a água ferve e a luz se apaga.

Nota: Pode parar o processo de fervura ao pressionar o interruptor para a

posição “0”, apagando a luz de corrente.

LIMPEZA E ELIMINAÇÃO DO CALCÁRIO
Aviso:
Desligue sempre o aparelho da tomada de corrente e deixe arrefecer antes de
proceder à limpeza.
Não utilize produtos químicos, lã de aço ou detergentes abrasivos para limpar
o aparelho.
Limpe o exterior da chaleira com um pano húmido.
Retire o filtro da chaleira. Lave-o em água limpa e seque cuidadosamente
antes de o recolocar na chaleira.

Eliminação do calcário da chaleira

1. Encha a chaleira com água até metade do nível máximo e adicione o sumo
de um limão.
2. Depois da mistura ferver, deixe a solução na chaleira durante 15 minutos.
3. Volte a ferver a mistura e deixe na chaleira durante mais 15 minutos.
4. Ferva a solução uma terceira vez e enxagúe bem a chaleira.
