Directions: Read the instructions below for the activity. (100 points)

1. Brainstorm for information about Jose Rizal. The information could be anything related to him, but not
in a sarcastic manner (e.g. Jose Rizal’s head being seen in a PHP 1.00 coin, etc.).

2. Discuss with each other and fill in the table labeled, Brainstormed Data, in the activity sheet of all
information gathered. In the event of a similar information is gathered by the other group members,
one entry will only be allowed. For example, if both member A and B have written that the Rizal Day is
celebrated December 30, then the information about it must appear once only.

3. To fill in the Gathered Information table, one (1) member will act as the agent for the group. The
agent will visit the other groups, gathering information that his home group lacks. The other groups
will only provide three (3) pieces of information to the visiting agent, so they must choose carefully
which information to share. Each agent is given only 30 seconds to get that information.

4. After gathering information, the agent will say, “Thank You,” to the other groups and move to the next
group. This will be done until all agents return to their respective home groups.

5. Once all information is gathered, fill in the Gathered Information table in this activity sheet. Compare
the results in the Brainstormed Information with the Gathered Information. For every similar
information, put a tiny check mark beside it. The similar information gathered and observed are the
facts.

6. After identifying all similar information, underline all remaining information. These are the unique
information only the group has. Using all the similar and unique information, write a seven-sentence
article regarding Jose Rizal. Summarizing the information is allowed.

7. Present the article to the class. Each group is given only one (1) minute to present. The presentation
will be graded using the rubric below:

eventually led to his execution. But behind this information, which he usually knew
for. There are still lots of things that make his existence valuable and interesting in
our history. He mastered 22 languages and studied many fields. He used this
knowledge to discover and seek something, create beautiful works such as a board
game, and write novels, including his famous works “Noli Me Tangere” and “El

secularization of the educational system. He noticed the continued suffering of his
countrymen at the hands of the Spaniards and sought to put an end to this situation.

our country. He died as a hero.
