The estimate amounting to 40,31,67,024.00/- which includes Railway portion Rs. 5,59,20,000.00 & State Govt.
Portion Rs.34,72,47,024.13 has been framed to meet the probable cost of expenditure to be incurred for the
proposed Construction of ROB in lieu of L.C. No-JT-60 at KM 623/11 between Bargarh road and Barpali
station in Jharsuguda-Titlagarh Section.
Sohela-Barpalli-Binka road experiences heavy traffic but the flow is severely interrupted because of the
manned level crossing No.JT-60 at Km 623/11 between Bargarh Road and Barpalli station in Jharsuguda-Titlagarh
Section. Due to the above level crossing, the area is getting crowded and the people cannot reach to their
destination within stipulated time. The frequent closure of this level crossing resulting a halt of traffic flow, which
causes acute problems for emergency transportations.
In order to avoid the above-mentioned problems, the construction of a ROB in lieu of the above level
crossing is an essential public need which is also a long standing demand of the local people, for which Hon’able
Chief Minister had also assured before.
The total road proper of ROB is 827.32m, from which the state portion of ROB is 715.48m and the railway
portion of ROB is 111.84m. The state portion of ROB has the provision of 125.200m of viaduct, which comprise
of 5 nos of 25.00m RCC superstructure with 190.00 m of solid approach on Barpali side and 175.280m of viaduct,
which comprise of 7 nos of 25.00m RCC superstructure along with 225.00m of solid approach on Binka side. All
the piers and abutments of approaches are proposed to rest on open foundation. In both side of ROB with in state
portion, there is also provision of service road of 3.5m along with one side RCC drain of internal size 1.5mx2.0m.
The railway portion ROB comprises of 3 spans of 37.200m composite girder structure resting on pile foundation.
The estimate has been prepared as per the GAD approved by the Works department and which is also
transmitted to Railway. Apart from the approaches, the estimate includes probable cost towards utility shifting,
illumination of the ROB besides contingencies and quality control.
Current schedule of rate with enhanced labour rate which was declared by department of labour &
Employment, and current GST rate and royalty of different materials has been provided in the estimate. Detail
standard specification of Odisha will be followed during execution of work. Cost of cement has been provided as
per the prevailing market rates. Cost of steel and bitumen has been considered as per rate of SAIL and I.O.C.L.
respectively.
The contractor will mobilize his own machineries for execution of the work.

This is to Certify that the specification as per MORT&H (5 th revision) and relevant IRC guidelines have
been adopted in preparation of the above project proposals. It is also further certified that the estimated
cost of the project proposals are based on the actual requirement and the cost estimates are realistic one.

This is to Certify that proper maintenance of the project roads/ROB after it is developed under this
scheme will be done by the contractor during defect liability period and also proper maintenance and
repair (M&R) will be done by State Government after defect liability period.
