SPECIFICATION - INSTALLATION & INTEGRATION

BMS (Battery Monitoring System)

I. Introduction

A battery management system or Battery Management systems (BMS) is a technology system

that functions as a balancer, monitoring and protection for batteries arranged in series or
battery stacking and maximizing battery pack life. The goal is to ensure the battery remains
within its ideal working parameters.
BMS Function :
a. Load balancing (charge balancing), to ensure all charging at the same time and then
to prevent excessive damage.
b. Active balancing, in which energy is transferred from stronger cells to weaker cells, to
ensure all cells reach their maximum discharge point at the same time.
c. Temperature monitoring, to avoid damage due to overheating.
d. Low Voltage Cut Off, how to isolate the battery when any cell reaches the minimum
recommended voltage, as well as to avoid damage from overdischarging.

2.2.1. HMI-2000
HMI-2000 battery monitoring equipment is applied to performance testing of various
battery packs, comprehensively measuring battery performance, and displaying real-time
parameters and real-time alarms for failed batteries to realize the expected automation of
battery detection and failure detection. Through the real-time monitoring of the battery
power parameters and operating status obtained by the PBMS2000 device, the actual
operating status and health status of the battery can be accurately understood, and problems
that exist in the use of the battery can be found in time.
2.2.1.1. Feature

◆ Intuitive columnar graph display, alarm status, communication status reminder.

◆ Real-time monitoring of group voltage, charge and discharge current, group SOC,
balance, PBMS2000 battery status.
◆ Real-time monitoring of PBMS2000 cell voltage, internal resistance, temperature,
SOC, SOH, connection status and other data.
◆ Detailed alarm data record, real-time alarm event display, timely detection of bad
conditions, so that the emergency is not visible.
◆ Using 7 inch TFT LCD screen with high brightness, good visibility and operation.

standard (for program upgrade)
USB2 Slave Port

Power Supply 24V DC

Remind:
1. There are 3 RS485 ports in the DB9 port of HMI. The first RS485 (closest to the power supply) is used
for HMI and PBMS2000 communication, and the second and third RS485 communication is invalid.
2. You can use a USB flash drive compatible with USB2.0 to perform engineering updates and
firmware upgrades on the HMI on the USB1 port.
3. HMI is powered by DC24V.

2.2.2. PBMS2000
The PBMS2000 Battery Monitoring Solution is specially designed for monitoring backup
batteries in telecommunication locations where the power system is in DC -48C or DC 24V.

◆ Special Design for 24V or -48V Telecommunication System

◆ 24/7 Online Monitoring & Remote Alarm Notification
◆ Multi Communication Protocol (Modbus-RTU, MODBUS-TCP, SNMP)
◆ Comply with IEEE 1188-2005

2.2.2.1. Management Layer

◆ Monitor Battery String Voltage, Charge and Discharge Current
◆ SOC Battery String Calculation
◆ Auto-Balancing
◆ Auto-Sensing For Battery Sensor ID Address
◆ Setpoint Alarming (Upper Limit / Lower Limit)
◆ Data Collection

2.2.3. Inverter AC to DC 24

The main function of the inverter is to convert Direct Current (DC) power into standard
alternating current (AC). This rating is an indication of the capacity the inverter can
simultaneously and continuously power high wattage equipment or tools or a combination of
several units of such items.

2.2.4. Terminal Block

A set of two or more similar screw connection points, can connect the wires at these
points. Terminal strips combine many similar blocks in a single device. In strips, the blocks
are isolated from each other.

How to use

It must first be installed in a safe and stable location, away from moisture. To use
it, remove about an inch of insulation from the two wires you want to connect. You
then insert the bare wires into the block's metal connectors and screw them in until
they are securely in place.

2.2.5. MCB Dual 10A

An electrical component whose job is to cut off electricity when there is an overcurrent
or a short circuit. Disconnection of electricity lines is carried out automatically and is intended
to provide security for electricity users at home, office or other places.
