You are strong at trying to build with student interests in mind and researching concepts to ‘engage this age group. She continues to grow in her confidence and her work to structure learning and planning for the secondary level. Think about ways you might engage HS students in guided discovery, collaborative troups, and/or having them teach present their learning. The cooperating teacher unierty super an the ‘tude! nem complete ths form ndudualy Three copes each compled fom are rough fo he conference and responses ae ckssed ‘Strength as a Student Intern: | am good at adapting and pivoting as necessary in my lessons so that the students can get the most out of the lesson and that they'e creating their best work. | haven't been afraid to change my projects as the students are working, whether its adjusting time or taking out parts of the lesson that no longer feel necessary or important. My relationships with the students, they are (mostly) receptive to me as their teacher and come to me with ‘questions or if they need help, and | always make sure to hear them out and work with them to figure things out as needed. Areas of Greatest Growth: Knowing how the classes work differently and how I need to adapt my teaching style and the things | do for each {group based on the students. Some classes are good about working on their own, some classes need more Supervision/instruction, and I've gotten better at finding that balance and knowing how to support each class/group of students. Goals for Improving and Strengthening Teaching: Knowing how to help/deal with students who don't work or turn their assignments in. | stil struggle with knowing hhow to address each student differently and what will work with them. I need to get better at being stricter with students who won't respond otherwise. | try to be as nice and lenient as | can at first, but | think | need to get better at putting my foot down earlier i the students aren't going to respond to me being nice. Overall Assessment of Progress: [think that my shift from elementary to high school was smooth and I was able to jump into these classes easier than | anticipated. | also picked up quickly on some of the differences in my expectations versus how the classes ‘actually run and how the students work/behave. | have adapted my lessons and teaching styles as necessary, land have gotten more comfortable with the things | need to do to get the students to respond and work. | have formed good relationships with the students and they seem to enjoy having me as their teacher and the projects they did.
