Title: EFFECTS OF DANCE TROUPE MEMBERSHIP ON THE

ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF GRADE 12 STUDENTS IN

LEON GUINTO MEMORIAL COLLEGE, INC.

Having the ability to allocate duties properly is one of the most important skill for

students who has a lot of responsibilities. Being a student and being member of a dance

troupe can affect a students’ life, specifically their academic performance. The

researchers have made a move to know the Effects of Dance Troupe Membership on

Grade 12 Students in Leon Guinto Memorial College, Inc. with regards to their

Academic Performance. The research was conducted using google form which sent to

the respondents via Facebook and the respondents of the study are the Grade 12 student

dancers. After the results has been tallied the researchers have determined the effects of

dance troupe membership on the academic performance of Grade 12 student dancers in

Leon Guinto Memorial

College, Inc. Therefore, the researchers concluded that dance troupe membership does

not affect the respondent’s academic performance negatively. Moreover, the majority of

the respondent’s practice only when necessary. Hence, they have enough time to do

their school activities since they do not practice on a daily basis. Furthermore, Grade 12

student dancers are doing significantly well on their studies. The lowest GWA that the

respondents obtained on the second semester of the school year 2019-2020 was 88 and

the highest was 96. Subsequently, 15 out of 21 total respondents strongly agreed that

they are prioritizing their studies but still manage to perform dances well.
