Unit Review
Understanding goal Students will understand the relation between the simple past, and past
continuous as well as the use of superlatives and comparatives in order
to reinforce their knowledge and study for the final exam.
The students review simple past, past continuous, comparatives and
superlatives in order to get prepared for the final exam.
Time 6 synchronic sessions - 3 hours of independent study.

SIMPLE PAST & PAST CONTINUOUS - COMPARATIVES & SUPERLATIVE REVIEW


Exploration:
1. In the following word search, look for verbs in the simple past, the past continuous form, and
2 examples of comparatives and superlatives. Then, complete the chart.

Clarification:
1. Match the sentences to create six affirmative statements including simple past and past
continuous. Use When / While - to contrast the simple past with the past continuous.
Example:
While she was shopping, someone stole her bag.

What can I do if I don’t understand?


1. Identify key words (Repeated words in a text. in order to understand the main idea.
2. Look at the examples given in each point of the workshop, analyze them and relate
them with the concepts explained in the explanation chart or the online classes.
3. Use the dictionary to understand the unknown words and write these new words in your
English notebook (You can use wordreference.com.
4. Ask one of your family members for help to understand the information in the workshop.
5. Contact your English teacher. Each school has established how.
