The sixth week of my internship went well. This week, we conducted our weekly

meetings, prepared for our upcoming event this weekend, and conducted tasks that were in

relation to a presentation that the organization will conduct in a few weeks. I had also learned

about Constant Contact and had begun the process of transferring the files from the website to

google drive.

In or meetings we had discussed how the video presentations that each of the interns

are working on. We discussed how after we are done with our PowerPoints, we could send it to

them so that they can review the content and make any corrections if needed. We also

discussed how we could all be in office one day and make the recordings for the video

presentation as well. Another thing that we discussed were the activities that we came up with

on the activity planning document for the month of March. We went through what we had and

placed the activities where they best fit, such as one activity would be used for Family Night, a

different one would be used for Clubhouse, etc. We were able to come up with enough

activities for the different events that we have so now, all that we really have left to do is prep

for next month. For the event this weekend, it was only a half day event, so there was not a lot

of things that we had to get ready for. We had prepped two activity bags since only around ten

students would be in attendance and we had to alter one of the activities that we had so that

the activity would take a little longer so that it could reach the one-hour mark. I had also run to

the store to get some cupcakes because one of the activities is called “Cake Walk” so at the end

of the event, all the children would receive a cupcake.

On February 25, 2022, Kate’s Club will kick off the Capacity Building campaign in which

major donors will be in attendance. I was shown how to navigate Constant Contact and with

that, I was given some tasks. One of the tasks were to go through some of the surveys and look

at the open-ended questions to find ten quotes that the parents and children have given

regarding Kate’s Club. These ten quotes that I had put into the document will be used in their

presentation during the Capacity Building campaign. Another task that I was given was to go

into Constant Contact and click on each survey that we have, download the overall results of

that survey, and then download the individual results of the survey. The individual results

would include the open-ended answers. I would rename the survey with the survey title and

the year it was made. For the individual results, I would send that over to my supervisor, Ashlie

so that she could get it ready and prepped for me to code. The overall results would be placed

into a google drive according to the year it was created and the type of survey it was. However,

I had to pause this task so that I could work on another task since the Capacity Campaign is

soon approaching. So, I was asked to make the activities from some of the previous activity

plans that we had. I just had to construct that the activity plan said on the paper. So, I had built

different things to complete the tasks. These activities would also be used for the Capacity

Building campaign.

Overall, this was a very productive week, and I was able to work on different tasks. In

this upcoming week, I plan on continuing to work on downloading the surveys on Constant

Contact and separating them to their correct folders. Not only that, but also sending Ashlie the

individual results from the surveys so that she can continue the process of getting the excel

ready so that I can begin to code.
