The ninth week of my internship went well. This week was focused on ensuring that we

had everything that we needed for this weekend’s activities, activity planning, completing

address changes, and downloading all the surveys on Apricot then seeing the differences between

them throughout the years.

Since my computer cannot print at the organization, I had downloaded all the surveys

with their questions and had sent it to Ashlie so that she could print them off for me. Once she

had did that and handed me the stack of papers, I then went to staple the surveys together so that

it would be easier to separate them according to the types of survey they were. So afterwards, I

had gotten some index cards and cut them up and then placed them on a table spaced out

according to all the types of surveys they were and then placed the surveys in their corresponding

places. After that was completed, I then began to sort through the surveys, from which ones had

multiples in that category and which one only had one survey. The ones with only one survey I

would disregard because there would be nothing to compare them to. So, I had begun the process

of seeing what the differences were between the surveys, but I had not finished completing them.

That is something that I will continue to work on next week.

Address changes was another task that I had worked on this week. I had gotten the rest of

the mail and continued the process in which I left off on and began to continue to sort out the

mail, inputting information on an excel sheet based on Apricot and Wufoo. I was able to

successfully complete sorting through the mail and putting their information on the excel sheet.

Once that was done, I had gone and gotten some envelopes and began writing the names of who

each card was going to be re-sent to so that when we get their updated address, all we must do is

put it in the card and then add a stamp to them. This allows the process to be much faster rather

than waiting until we have their new addresses to transfer their cards from one envelops to

another and then writing their new information down on the cards. During our activity planning

meeting we had discussed the activities that we had so far regarding camp as well as activities

for the months of April and May. We had a lot of activities on the camp excel sheet, so we were

not too worried about that aspect but when we got to the activity planning for the next two

months, we had to make some tweaks to some of the things that we have. We just must ensure

that the activities go with the theme of the months. We still have time before April and May

comes around, but we want to be able to stay ahead of it so that we can they begin to order

anything that we may need beforehand.

Overall, this week was productive. I was able to work on multiple different tasks as well

as completing some of them. I’m feeling good on the pace that everything has been going at.

Next week, I plan on having a meeting with Ashlie so that we can analyze the Caregiver Survey

between 2020-2021 as well as looking though Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
