Special Education ELA K-2 Resource Teacher (October 2021-present)


Cherokee County School District, Canton Georgia

Plan, using State and local school district curricula and standards, effective strategies, resources
and data to address the differentiated needs of all my students. Analyze and use student learning
data to inform planning. Ensure full implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEP’s)
for caseload students, including but not limited to, implementation of accommodations, Behavior
Intervention Plans (BIP’s) and other related services.
Develop, monitor and review the Individual Education Program (IEP) of each caseload student,
annually or more often as needed. Promote student learning by using research-based instructional
strategies relevant to the content area to engage students in active learning and to promote key
skills. Use assistive and instructional technology and a variety of research-based instructional
strategies and resources, as directed by IEP, to enhance student learning; and provide technical
assistance as needed to other professionals serving the student and/or family.
Communicate effectively with students, parents or guardians, district and school personnel
in ways that enhance student learning. Perform professionally and efficiently other duties
and responsibilities as assigned.

Special Education Paraprofessional (July 2019-October 2021)


Cherokee County School District, Canton, Georgia
Assist with regular and special education teachers in implementing the current grade level
curriculum by conducting small group and individual classroom activities, student assessments,
grading work and tests. Assist with routine record keeping and preparation of materials for
instruction. Assist OHI student with implementing IEP goals, restroom breaks, lunch, and any
other physical need where assistance is needed.

Administrative Assistant/Care Minister (August 2016-July 2019)


Liberty Hill Church, Canton, Georgia
Assist with the day-to-day administrative duties for the pastor and staff, count and deposit the
weekly offering, send weekly expense reports to the church’s partner for accounting and
administrative reports, and any other daily duties related to the life of the church. Assist and care
for people in need in the community and keep a monthly budget for the church’s benevolence
fund.

Special Education Paraprofessional (October 2012-2016)

Assist special education teacher in middle school self-contained classroom with implementing
each student’s IEP goals. Students had disabilities that included moderate-severe disabilities
including autism, LD, ADHD, hearing impaired, and Down Syndrome.
Interventionist (August 2009-October 2012)
Marietta-City Schools, Marietta, GA
Responsible for implementing the RtI Pyramid of Intervention in reading and math for students
in grades K-5. Responsible for weekly progress monitoring using a variety of educational
curriculums and assessment’s and keeping student records. Attend all RtI meetings involving
administrators, teachers, and parents to report progress and interpret the RtI process as it relates
to each student's education.
