Thrilling adventures, scary stunts and a frantic chase for lost treasure is what awaits
viewers of “Red Notice”, a new action/comedy film on Netflix. It follows FBI agent
Dwayne Johnson as he tries to prevent Ryan Reynolds, an infamous art thief, and Gal
Gadot from stealing priceless artifacts - Cleopatra's three golden eggs. The film landed
on the streaming service Nov. 12, 2021 and quickly made its way to the top of the charts
in just 18 days.

According to Interpol, a ‘red notice’ is the highest ranking international criminal status
alerting “law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending
extradition, surrender, or similar legal action” - a fitting title for the criminals in the movie.
The three main characters travel across the world, constantly running into and narrowly
escaping each other on their quest. They take on dangerous challenges such as
escaping from prison and even notorious international arms dealer, Sotto Voce.

Johnson and Reynolds team up as an unlikely pair in order to keep the bejeweled egg
out of The Bishop’s hands. The three stars possess so much on-screen chemistry and
charisma that they’re impossible not to love. The unique cinematography brings even
more energy to the heisty scenes. The settings and sounds are so interesting that
viewers will want to come back for more.

The 115 minute film grips viewers, making them feel like they’re right in the middle of the
action. One young adult movie go-er said “It was funny, action packed and full of twists.
It’s the perfect family movie!” There is never a dull moment on screen as the scenes
range from a high speed car chase to exploring a secret bunker in a South America
jungle. The adventurous and comedic nature of the movie creates a fun and exciting
atmosphere for the viewer,
According to Screen Crush, “Red Notice” “has officially become the most watched
movie in Netflix history [with] 328.8 million viewing hours — taking over the title from its
previous holder, 2018's Bird Box starring Sandra Bullock.” 50-60% of all Netflix users
have streamed the film. These record breaking numbers speak for themselves, proving
that “Red Notice” is an all around amazing movie. If you haven’t seen it yet, head over
to Netflix to watch it now and you might just find some hidden treasure for yourself.
