EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Herbal boutique as we believe will be a combination of beauty as well as herbal essence in


different types of products. The products will be gathered from various sources which includes
small scale company which makes home made products with perfection and purity and collect in
wholesale and will provide customers products in combo packs which will include sandalwood
soaps, aloe vera shampoo, Herbal hair oil of all types, moisturizer, turmeric Face mask for
glowing skin and will all the products which will be beneficial for skin as well as for hairs,
according to customer requirements. The unique selling proposition will be bringing back the
traditional way of living in an customized packing of the product in most attractive format to
attract customer by advertising the packaging videos through social media.The main objective of
creating herbal essences is offering pure herbal products in combo packs with various
distribution channels through salons, parlors, and putting up the advertisements online on social
media.
Herbal boutique will not be just a product but will also consult with a team of healthcare which
will provide information on the use of the particular product by presenting the results of
experimental and clinical research. The main agenda of writing his business plan is to build a
proper foundation for the vision, philosophy and strategy of the venture. We at Herbal boutique
hope to employ hardworking and well experienced workers, and those who have enthusiasm and
we hope to compensate them accordingly.

Our major objective at Herbal boutique is to acquire the market share in the region for herbal and
beauty skincare products. We also want to build a business that will be an active and vocal
member of the community, and to provide continual re-investment through sponsorship of
community activities and celebrations.

products in cosmetics. Personal care products containing ingredients from the plant origin are
finding an increasing receptive trend in the domestic as well as world market.

Herbs should be stored in a cool and dry place. Moisture can damage the herbs. Also moisture
promotes bacterial and fungal growth. Dried herbs should be stored in an airtight container.
Herbs should not be stored in direct sunlight.

There is tremendous scope to launch numerous herbal cosmetics using appropriate bioactive
ingredients with suitable fatty oil, essential oils, proteins and additives.

People have become more health conscious than before, so, they prefer best.Today, herbal
cosmetics are growing popular not only in developed countries like the United States, Canada,
United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and France etc but also in other developing countries like
the Philippines, china and India etc. Herbal cosmetic products containing natural components
have shown an increasing trend in the market. In the last decades or so, the demand for herbal
cosmetics has increased over the time period. With globalization, there have been changes in
many fields such as improvisation in products, innovation, competition, brand image etc. On the
other hand, herbal cosmetics attract the consumers due to their natural properties and lesser side
effects. According to market experts, the herbal cosmetics industry is heading towards a new
phase of its expansion. At present the global market for herbal cosmetics is $ 1500 billion and is
estimated to grow at the rate of 25% per annum.. The major problem in analyzing world trade
particularly herbal cosmetics is the limited statistical data available on production and trade.
However a projected growth rate of herbal cosmetics is predicted from Figure 1, showing an
increasing trend till 2024.
People of India and China have had knowledge about the medicinal uses of plants and herbs for
over 5000 years. China is the largest exporter of herbal cosmetics in the world whereas India
stands second in the global market share. Both the countries have a rich biodiversity which helps
in the evolution of various species of plants and herbs. Emergence of new and advanced
technologies empowers these countries as the leading exporters of herbal cosmetics. The herbs
are basically generated from wild sources and require a rationalized approach to utilize it for
sustainable development of herbal cosmetic industries.
The Indian cosmetics industry is undergoing rapid evolution and transition following
liberalization. It has matured to a great extent during the last few decades. Although the
economic recession in the world market proved to be a major setback for big players (MNCs and
limited sector companies) but, it did not affect the overall growth in the cosmetic industry. It was
estimated to be in the range of 15-20%. Indian ayurvedic products market is estimated to be Rs.
2500 crore per annum out of which Rs. 450 crore is the market of natural herbal cosmetics. The
Indian personal care market is estimated to be worth US$ 4 Billion (approx. Rs. 20,000 crore)
this includes bath and shower products, hair care, skin care, cosmetics, fragrances and
