4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory Activity
The teacher asks the students, "Who has an idea what 5S is all about?" Call at least 5 students to answer.

4.2 Activity
Posts the metastrips that contain the 5S. Group the students into five. Group 1: Seiri; Group 2: Seiton; Group 3: Seiso;
Group 4: Seiketsu; Group 5: Shitsuke. The representative of the group will discuss in front of the class and identify the
10 minutes 5S of which they are assign.
4.3 Analysis What do you mean by Seiri? Seiton? Seiso? Seiketsu? Shitsuke? Do you think it is important to follow the 5S step by
step? Why or why not?

4.4 Abstraction 5S is the acronym for the Japanese words. They represent the five steps for a systematic technique for good
housekeeping. 1. Seiri (Sort) - distinguish between necessary and unnecessary items. Remove the later. 2. Seiton
(Set in Order) - Enforce the dictum ' a place for everything and everything in its place'. 3. Seiso (Shine) - Clean up the
workplace and look for ways to keep it clean. 4. Seiketsu (Standardize) - Maintain and monitor adherence to the first
10 minutes three Ss. 5. Shitsuke (Sustain) - Follow the rule to keep the workplace 5S-right. Hold the gain.
4.5 Application In a creative way, make a situation of a workplace that shows the importance of 5S.
