FUNDAMENTALS OF ACCOUNTING

Introduction

This E-Journal will give you details about our online class that we conducted under
Sir Aldon Nacu. In this E-Journal, I will tell what had happened that day that really
makes that session memorable. I will also include what we have discussed and
what I learned personally that day. Lastly, I will also state my personal reflections,
the things that really sink in to myself during our sessions.
First Week: Orientation and Fundamentals of Accounting

What happened?
That was October 09, 2021. I didn’t attend in the orientation and the
discussion due to some circumstances. But Thanks to sir Nacu, because he sends
the recording of the orientation and discussion in our google meet. I watched it and
I read the handouts that he gave to us.

What we discussed?
Then, after our orientation, we also started our first discussion about
Accounting Fundamentals. Sir Nacu discussed us about business-it’s definition,
forms, advantages and disadvantages and types. Sir Nacu also taught us about
accounting-its definition, history, nature and its other branches.

My Personal Reflection
When I heard about, we are having a subject of accounting, it gives me
tense. My weakness is computation and because of that, I know that this subject
will give me stress. I know that this subject will challenge me and it will unlock
my full potential.

Second Week: Accounting Concepts and Principles

What happened?
That was October 16, 2021. Sir Nacu discussed the topic about Accounting
Concept and Principles, Accounting Standard, Conceptual Framework, Accounting
Equation. He demonstrated how to compute the asset, liabilities and equity, profit
and revenue.
What we discussed?
Sir Nacu discussed the topic about Accounting Concept and Principles,
Accounting Standard, Conceptual Framework, Accounting Equation. He also
taught us the basic accounting calculations.

My Personal Reflection
This week began the computation, it gives me a headache. But I am thankful
to our professor Mr. Nacu that ensure us that we understand every topic and
discussion. It’s very challenging, As I said that it will unlock my full potential and
now I’m working on it.
Third Week: Exam Week

What happened?
That day was our Examination day. I was nervous though I prepared for this
exam. Everyone is on a serious mode because of the exam.

What we discussed?
Nothing, It is only our Quiz and Preliminary Exam. But sir Nacu give us an
activity and that is this E-Journal that I am writing today. This E-Journal is really
good because it reminds us of what we have experienced and what we have learned
from those sessions that we had.

My Personal Reflection
Exams is always part of our lives. It is like we are being tested on how to
apply the knowledge and the information that give to us. It is the overall result of
our hardworking.
