Be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud

In trying times like this COVID-19 pandemic most of us has been under a cloud for quite some
time, due to difficulties brought by the restrictions because of COVID-19. Most of us are under the cloud of
loneliness, depression, burnout, financial problem, and many more. The greater time that we spent under these
clouds, the more that we think that it might be impossible to see the end of our suffering.
We often forget the saying that says “After the rain comes the rainbow”, and thus often times
because we are too focused on our own suffering, we forgot that there is someone out there who is experiencing
the same or may be even greater pain, and thus we forget to be a rainbow in someone else’s life.
Being a rainbow in someone else’s life can be hard, but through out little ways as student we may
be able to accomplish it easily, being a rainbow does not mean that we have to blow away all the clouds, but
rather we have to wait for the perfect moment to shine out colors after the cloud has pass, because it is not our
duty to blow away someone’s pain, but rather it is our responsibility to help someone get through the worst
phases of their lives through the beauty and colors that we brought to their lives. Simple acts of kindness will
make us the brightest rainbow that someone has ever seen, a simple word of gratification will surely make
someone’s day, a simple “You did your best today” will help someone hold by another string, and as simple
“Everything will be alright” will save someone.
