Assessment Task 2

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Use A4 bond paper (or any white paper).

2. Use 3 sets of colored pens probably BLUE, BLACK, and RED. Use the BLUE pen for copying the
questions, BLACK pen for writing your solution, and the RED pen for boxing the final answer.
3. Allot one sheet of paper for every question. Provide a complete solution showing a detailed
computation.
4. Include your NU ID in every sheet of paper before taking a photo of it.
5. Save your work as PDF file before uploading it to the submission portal.

PROBLEMS:

Solve the following differential equations using the methods discussed in class only. Show all the
necessary computations especially getting the derivatives and solving the integrals. Do NOT copy
solution from online solver. Solutions NOT discussed in class will NOT be acknowledged.

Use your student number for the values of a and b: 200x-xxxxab

1. Solve using 2 techniques: (x − ky)dx + k(y − x)dy = 0 where k = a + b (10 points)

2. y(8x − 9y)dx + 2x(x − 3y)dy = 0; x = a, y = b (10 points)
