Higher Education Commission (HEC)
Background:
The Higher Education Commission is a legislative agency
established by the Pakistani government. It was spread out in
1974 as University Grants Commission (UGC) and came
into its new modern form in 2002 after Atta-Ur-Rahman's
changes, which got worldwide acclamation.
This commission helps to maintain and grow the country’s
higher education system with the primary goal of upgrading
the country's universities and degree-awarding institutes to
serve as a focal point for high-level learning, research, and
development. It has been a key player within the development of a knowledge-
based economy in Pakistan for varied years.

DARAZ
Background:
Daraz is an online marketplace that provide high quality branded products that
fulfill the fashion needs of men and women
regarding clothes, footwear and accessories.
Daraz Group operates e-commerce platforms and
logistics service in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal,
Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Bjarke Mikkelsen is the
CEO & founder of Daraz. In May 2018, Daraz Group was acquired by the Chinese
e-commerce company. Its main aim is to provide an excellent buying experience, it
also offers multiple payment methods including bank transfer, cash-on-delivery,
comprehensive customer care, and easy returns.

Amazon
Background:

Amazon is the biggest internet-based company in the


world. Amazon.com, Inc. provides online retail
shopping services. It provides services to four
primary customer sets: consumers, sellers,
enterprises, and content creators. The company also
provides other marketing and promotional services,
such as online advertising and co-branded credit card agreements. It serves
consumers through its retail websites with a focus on selection, price, and
convenience. It designs its websites to enable its products to be sold by the
company and by third parties across dozens of product categories. The company
offers programs that enable sellers to sell their products on its websites and their
own branded websites. 
TASK 2:
MANAGEMENT IN ORGANIZATIONS
Higher Education Commission (HEC)
Senior Management:
Senior management maintain the authentication of decisions about upgrading in
education systems, about students and faculty.

Example: All the decisions of commission shall be authenticated by the signature


of the chairperson.
MIDDLE Management:
Middle Managers are responsible for making core strategic decisions in the
education sector. Their capability enhances the existing competencies of the course
delegates and efficiency in their individual and organizational performance in the
future. in short, they are responsible for project management and strategy
management.
Operational Management:
Operational management at HEC includes students and faculty data, funding,
overseeing, regulating and accrediting the higher education institutions in the
country. They Supporting the strategic research directions and policies of
universities. Improving integration of research and education at all levels of the
institution.

Daraz:
Senior Management:
CEO strategic Planning and coordinate with CFO, COO.
Middle Management:
CFO, COO, make new product and launch new business. Commercialize Product
on platforms, make partners.
Operational Management:
Chief of stuff, workforce, Customer Support, Traffic operation and product retailed

Amazon:
Senior Management:
Senior management oversees multiple businesses building smooth collaboration
across businesses and ensuring they leverage each other’s strengths. Senior
Managers at Amazon are functional heads in each such small business.
Senior Managers at Amazon are responsible for protecting customer experience,
scaling initiatives, as well as developing and improve policies and customer
communication.
Middle Management:
Middle Managers at Amazon are responsible for motivating, mentoring, and
managing team for customer satisfaction. They ensure that the team of Amazon
associates have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift.
Operational Management:
Operations Managers manage the heart of the Amazon shopping experience. They
are responsible for Design of Goods and Services, Quality Management,
Process and Capacity Design, Layout Design and Strategy, Inventory
Management and Maintenance.
For example, considering online retail service as its main organizational output,
the company automates the ordering process to increase the capacity to accept as
many simultaneous orders as possible.

TASK 3:
IS USED IN ORGANIZATIONS
AMAZON:
Amazon uses advanced information systems in its business processes to gain a
competitive edge by increasing the efficiency of collecting, storing, and analyzing
personal information from consumers. Amazon's elastic cloud computing service
gives customers complete control over their computing actions and allows them to
use Amazon's computer environment. Amazon S3 acts as a storage for the usage of
internet. The inclusion of CRM allows the users to observe the items that have
been acquired by their close networks. The Infomediary model of MIS is used to
preserve this data. The orders integrate with enterprise resource management.
Netscape Secure Commerce Server is used to store the banking information. AWS
used for successful integration and management of information systems. RDBMS
is used for logistic department.

DARAZ:
1. Streamline the communication with their customers with a professionally
designed IVR and Automated contact distribution.
2. Quality Assurance mechanism which helps them record, track and analyze
each interaction.
3. Integration with their CRM and back-office system to achieve minimum
clicks per interaction.
4. Order Management System (OMS), a software for their stock count.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) as a part of HEMIS.
