D i s c u s s i o n and C o n c l u s i o n

A t e c h n i q u e was p r e s e n t e d which a l l o w s t h e
analyst t o generate t h e t r a n s i e n t response of a
l a u n c h v e h i c l e d u r i n g i t s p o i n t - b y - p o i n t sep-
a r a t i o n from i t s s u p p o r t s t r u c t u r e . The method
r e q u i r e d no u n u s u a l s i m p l i f i c a t i o n s of t h e i n t e r -
f a c e , p l a c e d no r e s t r i c t i o n s on t h e number of
i n t e r f a c e d e g r e e s of freedom, and made n o com-
promise o f t h e s t r u c t u r e ' s d y n a m i c a l p r o p e r t i e s .
Changes o c c u r r i n g i n t h e s t r u c t u r a l math model
were a c c o u n t e d f o r by i n t r o d u c i n g t e r m s t o t h e
right-hand-side of the equations of motion,
r e q u i r i n g a n u m e r i c a l i n t e g r a t i o n . However,
t h i s i s a minor s h o r t c o m i n g when compared w i t h
