 I. INTRODUCTION

Deepak Ind Hydraulic in coimbatore, tamilnadu was established in 2002, are well known
Manufacturers, service provider and suppliers of a wide range of hydraulic cylinder and
hydraulic power packs. Sigma hydraulics in coimbatore offers hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic
power packs, hydraulic press, hydro pneumatic press, clamp cylinder and Material Handling
equipments. Our company is run by integrity and client approach in the way of achieving great
success rate. Sigma hydraulics are committed to meeting customer expectations by providing
safe and reliable products and highest quality in terms of reliability, on time delivery, customer
satisfaction and driving efficiency improvements

This is a powerful machine that can be used to perform a number of applications in mechanical
industry. The process of forging, molding, punching of screws, metal processing, and clinching,
are some of the industrial processes where these machines plays a great role. We strive to
maintain a healthy association with our clients & apply our best to achieve their trust. Moreover,
we provide these aforementioned machines in the different specifications that holds striking
features, giving many options for customers in selecting their preferred range.

Ever since the year of inception, we have been continuing working hard to remain top in the
market. We are facing all the market challenges, in order to sustain a special niche in the market

Hydraulic systems work with the help of force and fluid. Specifically, they work when force, or
pressure, is applied to a fluid, which causes energy to transfer from one area to another. Inside
these systems, the fluid, which is typically an oil, is controlled either directly or automatically by
control valves. Fluid is distributed through tubes and hoses. Hydraulic systems are very
powerful.
The first hydraulic equipment ever built was the hydraulic press. It was patented in 1795 by the
British inventor, Joseph Bramah. Hydraulic power was first used in England for metal forging,
machinery operation, elevator operation, canal lock operation and bridge section rotation.
Despite the early life of hydraulic equipment, it was Harry Franklin Vickers, an American
inventor, who was named the "Father of Industrial Hydraulics" by ASME. Over a century later,
his most famous invention was the balanced vane pump, which is a kind of hydraulic pump.
However, he also invented the first hydraulic power steering system. His inventions were
important to mechanics, machining and automotives.

Today, the equipment and systems that harness the power of hydraulics are typically high-
powered and heavy duty. Nevertheless, they are quite versatile. Examples of common hydraulic
equipment include: hydraulic presses, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, hydraulic cylinders
and hydraulic lifts. A hydraulic press generates compressive forces and acts like a mechanical
lever. Hydraulic pumps supply fluid to larger hydraulic systems. Next, hydraulic motors convert
hydraulic pressure and flow into torque and rotation. They power systems like mixer and agitator
drives, plastic injection machines, metal shredders, cranes, military vehicles and more.
Meanwhile, hydraulic cylinders offer unidirectional force. They„re common components of
engineering vehicles, construction equipment and manufacturing machinery. Finally, hydraulic
lifts are used to raise, lower, support and move heavy objects or work surfaces.

Modern hydraulic equipment is popular in a number of industries, including: material handling,

construction, roofing, masonry, automotive, aviation and manufacturing. In material handling,
construction, roofing and masonry, hydraulic equipment is used with components like lifts,
bulldozers and cranes. Meanwhile, in the automotive and aviation industries, hydraulic
equipment is used for power transmission and braking applications. Finally, in manufacturing,
hydraulic equipment assists in assembly and automated process
Hydraulic equipment requires the assistance of many different supplies, such as actuators,
accumulators, filters, tubes and valves. They are held together with accessories like seals,
connections and fittings. To make sure that their systems will run safely and effectively,
manufacturers construct hydraulic equipment and hydraulic supplies from materials that perform
well under pressure. Among these materials are rubber, woven wire, stainless steel, cast iron,
brass and more. Unlike non-hydraulic equipment that provides similar services, hydraulic
equipment requires few or no mechanical levers and gears. This is another reason that they are so
widely used.

 1.2 INTRODUCTION TO THE INDUSTRY

Hydraulic Industry in India is dependent on the growth of Mobile Hydraulic equipment,

comprising mainly of off-highway equipment such as Backhoe Loaders, Excavators, Mobile
cranes, compaction equipment, wheel loaders, Forklifts, and Agricultural equipment. The
industry has witnessed severe demand pressure owing to the shrinkage in demand for mobile
equipment used in infrastructure, farm equipment, and industrial equipment.

Although post-2011, the demand for mobile equipment has been falling consistently, a trend
reversal of sought began from 2015-16, this owing to strong domestic demand led by increased
Government focus on investments in infrastructure projects, thereby leading to higher demand of
capital equipment. The proportional increase in the demand of Hydraulic components is
anticipated and it will be only fair to say that the industry will witness unprecedented growth in
the demand in the immediate short to medium term.

Since, the demand for hydraulic cylinders is primarily driven by the growing demand for
hydraulic cylinder based equipment which is used in industries such as manufacturing,
construction, mining, agriculture, aerospace, and defense. One can anticipate that the recovery in
economic activity will bring cheer to the sector and many of the OEMs will have to expand its
current manufacturing facility to cater to the growing demand.

The market is developing steadily and it is significantly driven by activities in the infrastructure
sector, farm equipment & industrial equipment. Government focus on farm sector will also
catapult demand for tractors and this will have a positive influence on the demand for the
hydraulic product on the farm equipment segment. High adoption of material handling

Hydraulic press (also known as Bramah press) is a machine that generates compressive force by
utilizing liquid pressure. The working of hydraulic press machine is based on Pascals law, which
states that intensity of pressure is transmitted equally in all directions through a mass of fluid at
rest.

In hydraulic press machines, the pressure is generated throughout an enclosed cylinder, in which
hydraulic pressure is converted into kinetic energy of piston, which in turn produces shear stress
between die and punch, which cuts or presses the metal. These machines are used for
transforming metallic objects into sheets and making powders for pharmaceutical & medical
industries. In addition, these machines are used for various press work applications such as

Manufacturing, Inc., and other leading players occupy a major share in the global hydraulic press

The purchase department is an important function in the organization. The responsibility
for purchasing all types of materials is introduced to this department. The no. of workers in the

It is received from the user department. Introducing required items for programs to
purchase department. The next stage of activity in the department is to go through the items
written in the indent.

2. Sending Enquiry
Sending by the purchase department to the supply for the wasted item, these items should
be maintained properly.

3. Receivers Quotations
It is received from the suppliers. Price regards in the wanted items are maintained in the
quotation.

4. Analyzing Rate and Negotiation Regarding Rates

The rate is collected by suppliers. if the prices are not satisfy with the rates should inform
to the suppliers.

For the rates should orders are released for the purchase with the suppliers required items

maintained by this department for regarding quantity and pricks etc., purchase payment are
important in turn of contract.

Basis of Accounting:

Fixed Asserts & Depreciation

 Fixed asserts put to use are capitalization and are stated are cost of collection (not of
mordant credit for excise duty) less depreciation.
 The depreciation may be calculated for lien method in respect of all fixed asserts.

Introduction:
The care of management function lies in the guiding & controlling of all the efforts of all

materials resources would be meaning less & idea. It is rightly said that the success or failure of
an organization depends not on materials. Machines and equipment but on the coil & ability of
the personnel to put in their efforts for an efficient performance of the job.

Maintenance of attendance:
Personnel department receives duty roster from all department leading the duty roster
data into the computer entering daily attendance through the duty roster, up dating the shift
changes, maintaining the late, coming list, salary list, strength details.

Personnel Records:
It includes in the necessary data of the persons appointed to work in the organization for
the purpose for which place he is appointed. The bio – data and other forms are submitted to the
stationery authorities (P.F., ESI & Gratuity) & maintenance of personal files and records.
Increment / Promotion:
The promotion or increment of employee is based on performance. The time of
promotion is as per the settlement & for staff is based on performance of appraisal.

Staff welfare:
It includes the activities of all the staff members.
 STORES DEPARTMENT

The store department is used for the smooth functioning of the production department
because it stores all sorts of necessary materials. The stores department is headed by the store
keeper.

Functions:
 It should check the raw material for the thing of quality & quantity
 The Stock level is reported to the respective section periodically.
 Issues materials to the production & sales department respectively
 Ledgers are maintained for stock transaction for all items
 Minimum level & stock is always maintained.

Kinds of Stores:
1. Inventory Stores:
The minimum stock needed for production is maintained material in the stores as a
approved buy the quality control department.

2. Raw Material Stores:

The purchased raw materials are stored after inspection. This can be issued to the
machine shop for further process. A register maintained to keep track of the transactions.

3. Finished goods stores:

In this stores, the final product after complete inspection & testing.

1. He must keep a record of receipts & issue of each item as regards to quantity.
2. Proper space must be allocated for storing different articles.

The major activity of secretarial department is to conduct board meetings and annual
general meeting and to maintain stationery registers. For conducting board meeting the
preparations are made to try the staff members of their department and some resolutions are
passed with regard to the board meeting held. In annual general meeting they mainly deal with
transfer of shares and prepare fresh statistory registers like registers of members of the company
where in the details of all the shareholders and a register of directors of the company and they
also prepare minutes for the board meeting and general meeting conducted.

Functions:
 To conduct annual general meeting and to prepare the annual report of the company.
 Issue of shares whenever required
 Furnishing the proper information to the concerned stock exchange whenever necessary.
 The various statutory returns and other returns are to be properly filled with the registrar
of companies within the specified time limit.
