Tuesday, and it looks like the weather break may have helped all
10/14/1957 - 10/1/2021 of the athletes.
Saturday, April 30th The biggest meet of the season thus far will be in Great
Falls Saturday when the Scotties will take part in the Belt-
at 2:00 PM Fairfield Invitational. Glasgow will get a look at the rest of the
Glasgow Elks Lodge Northern B schools.
"A couple of them won't be there, which is kind of strange
to me. We saw some of them at Havre," said Glasgow coach
Tim Phillips. "We're splitting the squad so we will keep some at
home, because we cannot budget-wise bring 50 some kids there
for an overnighter. We're taking the kids that we think can make
divisional and state so they can get on that complex since both
the divisional and state will be there. I've got them loaded up
pretty good. But I know coach (Andrew) McKean will have his
distance runners get their qualifying times for state."
Glasgow girls scored 89 points to win the meet with Saco
scoring 68for second and Havre in third with 60, Malta had
43.33 and Whitewater 42.
"We didn't talk team at all. We just wanted the kids to get some
races in," said Phillips. "We still went in at full strength. We
finally got some kids that aren't completely healed but at least
they could compete a little bit. It was a nice day."
Iris McKean, Tanae Baker, Eve Stone, and Blaire Westby
won events for the Scotties. McKean was a double winner,
