Recipes for Newsletter – Month of May

Recipe 1
Bahubali Sandwich Ingredients:
> 8 slices of sandwich bread (or White slice bread or any slice bread that you wish to go ahead)
> 2 medium size tomatoes sliced
> 2 medium size boiled potatoes sliced
> 2 medium size onions sliced
> 1 bell pepper sliced (3 colors or green color bell pepper or capsicum)
> 2 cucumber sliced
> 2 medium size boiled beetroot sliced
> 1 small bowl of mix olives sliced
> 5-6 baby corn sliced (optional)
> 8-10 slices of jalapenos
> 1 bowl shredded cabbage (or salad leaves - optional)
> 1 bowl shredded carrot (optional)
> 4-5 slices of canned pineapple (or fresh pineapple/Kiwi/mango/green apple/grapes - any fruits
you can take that is available easily) - it should be citric fruit
> 1-2 cheese slices
> 1 bowl of grated cheese (regular processed or cheddar cheese)
> 1 bowl of cream (any)
> 100 gms butter
> green coriander chutney
> 2 tbsp of chat masala or sandwich masala (any one is fine)
> salt & Pepper to taste

Those who are non-vegetarian lovers can also have


> Roasted chicken breast
> grilled chicken sliced
> grilled meat sliced
>salmon grilled sliced
> cooked or grilled bacon sliced
(can use any one of the options)

Garnishing:

> Ketchup
> Chutney
> Lettuce leaves

Method:

Take four slices of bread, cut the edges and then take first slice and apply butter
and sandwich chutney. Then arrange tomato slices, cucumber slices, slices of
boiled potatoes, slices of onions and sprinkle sandwich masala or chat masala.
Drizzle some cream and grated cheese. Then take second slice and apply butter on
one side and cover. Then apply butter and chutney on the upper side of second
slice and then arrange the slices of bell peppers, slices of baby corn, olives,
beetroot and sprinkle sandwich masala or chat masala. Drizzle some cream and
grated cheese. Then take third slice, apply butter on one side and cover. Then apply
the butter and chutney on the upper side of third slice and then arrange the slices of
fruit of your choice as listed in the ingredients. Then arrange jalapenos, shredded
cabbage and carrots. Sprinkle sandwich masala or chat masala. Then drizzle some
cream and grated cheese. Then take forth slice and apply butter and chutney and
cover the sandwich. Then cut into the triangle shape and serve with ketchup or
chutney with some lettuce leaves or chips.
Recipe 2

Mango Ice-cream

Ingredients:
> 1 cup full-fat cream (whipping cream)
> 1 cup of icing sugar
> 1 tsp of vanilla essence or mango essence
> 1 cup mango pulp
> 1 cup cubes of mango

Garnishing:

> Roasted nuts or tutee fruity


> wafer biscuits or mango slices

Method:

Take a glass bowl which is deep enough. Take one cup of full cream or whipping
cream and add one cup of icing sugar. Then mix it with the beater till it becomes
light and fluffy stiff mixture. Then add one teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix it
for another 1-2 second. Then using cut and fold method add mango pulp and mix
the mixture well and transfer in an air tight container, cover the lead and let it go in
freezer to set for another 5-7 hours. Once set, take a scoop in a bowl and garnish
with either mango slices or pieces or wafer biscuits or roasted nuts or tutee fruity.
Recipe 3

Oats crackers choco pellets

Ingredients required:
> Oats (coarsely grinded) 1/2 cup
> Crackers crumbs (powder the cracker) 1/4 cup
> Vanilla extract or Vanilla powder 1/2 tsp (you can use any essence or coffee
powder)
> chocolate melted 1 cup
> Chunky peanut butter 1/2 cup
> milk powder 1/2 cup
> masala milk powder 1/4 cup (mix dry fruit powder)
> honey 1/4 cup
Garnishing
> for decoration either desiccated coconut powder or choco vermicelli or colorful
vermicelli

Method:

Take a bowl; add half cup of coarsely grinded oats, one-fourth cup of crackers
crumbs and half cup of chunky peanut butter and one cup of melted chocolate. Mix
all these ingredients well till it form a bind in the hand. Then add half cup of milk
powder and quarter cup of masala milk powder (this can be option). Mix them
well. Then add quarter cup of honey or as per your taste of sweetness. Mix all the
ingredients well and the texture should be like dough. Then divide into small
portion and give the shape to each pellet and garnish it with either mix of masala
milk powder and desiccated coconut powder or mix of masala milk powder and
choco vermicelli or colored vermicelli.
