TITLE OF PRACTICAL RESEARCH Duality: Time Management Technique of a Student Mothers

I. INTRODUCTION Education helps people acquire knowledge and increase

their self-confidence in life. It can help you grow your career and
personality, meet your essential professional qualifications, and
secure a better job.. Education is believed to provide knowledge and
skills that holds potentials for economic empowerment, for better
livelihood and social development Dankyi, J. ,Dankyi, L. And
Minadzi, V.(2019).

To pursue career growth, student mothers build a better

future not only for themselves but also for their children's future, to
achieve something important and to create better opportunities in
life. Choose to return to school. As a student mother, procrastination
and time management have been one of the major issues in high
school to date. As a mother, you find that there are so many hurdles
that they have to overcome before completing their chores. The
nightly routine of cooking, cleaning, and putting her daughter to
sleep.
Procrastination is the act of deferring or deferring a task until the
very end or after the deadline. Procrastination is defined by some
researchers as "a form of self-regulatory failure characterized by
unreasonably delaying tasks despite adverse consequences.”
Subsequently, they find themselves setting aside schoolwork to take
care of these family matters first. Most times they are studying their
exams the day before and starting assignments late. This has
caused a great deal of stress along with many sleepless nights.
Due to procrastination, they are not allowed enough time for what
they have studied to absorb into their memory. Time management
and avoidance of procrastination are the keys to success in high
school.

Time management which involves goal setting,

priotritization, planning, hesitation and ways of coping with it,
studying and learning strategies, note taking stress management,
affects individual’s ability for better use of time and giving sense of
affairs control power to them ( Morgenstern, 2000). Time
management plays a vital role in improving student’s academic
performance and achievements. Each and every student should
have time management ability which includes setting goals &
priorities, using time management mechanism and being organized
in using time. Here time management is only possible through self-

motivation; performance, ability and motivation (Brigitte, Claessens,

Eerde, & Rutte, 2005). The purpose of the study was to investigate
and explain the mother's research experience. This study can be
used to develop educational policies that can help student mothers.
