I.Objectives

1. Identify the three primary colors, red, blue and yellow.

2. Explore which colors can be mixed together to form secondary colors.

3. Conduct an experiment using primary colors to form secondary colors.

4. Appreciate the beauty of colors.

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Mixing Colors

Materials: Ice cube trays, red, blue and yellow food color, warm water, 7 clear containers
3 bowls, crayons and video

Reference: DLL, TG Grade 1

III. Procedure

A. Preparatory Activities
1. Prayer

B. Motivation
Shows a picture of people’s everyday activity
Ask: Is colors important in our daily life activities? How? Why?

C. Presentation of the Lesson


Present a video about mixing colors.

Show color red, blue and yellow using a crayon.

(Inform them that the three colors presented is the primary colors)

Shows secondary colors such as color green, purple and orange using a
crayons.

Ask: Did you think that the primary colors can be mix to form a secondary
colors?

Teacher will discuss how primary colors are mix to form a secondary colors.

D. Activity
Divide the class into three groups.

Give an experimental activity to students to demonstrate how the primary


colors; red, blue and yellow mix and form the secondary colors; green,
orange and purple.

Teacher will show the procedure to follow in conducting an experiment.

1. Ilagay and isang blue ice cube sa container 1 at 2.


2. Ilagay ang isang red ice cube sa container 3 at 4.
3. Ilagay ang isang yellow ice cube sa container 5 at 6.
4. Idagdag ang red ice cube sa container 2.
5. Idagdag ang yellow ice cube sa container 4.
6. Idagdag ang blue ice cube sa container 6.
7. Tingnang mabuti kung paano natunaw at nagsama ang mga kulay.
8. Isulat sa manila paper ang naobserbahan sa experiment.

Each group will answer the questions assigned.
