Best Work and Reflective Essay #1

Art/ drawing is something that I’ve always been interested in. I was never a naturally
amazing artist. Over the years of practicing drawing on desks and school assignments, I have
improved a good amount. When I saw art on my schedule on the first day of school, I was pretty
excited. Art is something I have always wanted to get into, and be able to participate in.

I believe this piece of art shows the peak/ improvement of my art. If you asked me six
months ago to replicate this drawing, it definitely would not have come out the way it has today.
Improvement is something I am very adamant about in my everyday life. In every action you
take, there is always room for improvement. Art is something I have always wanted to
continuously get better at.

Another reason I have chosen this artwork was because of how I expressed myself
through it. Art is a reflection of one’s mind, identity, or thoughts. How I was able to express the
occasional feelings I experience onto a piece of paper is something I have always tried to
achieve. Expressing my mental thoughts can help me and anyone else figure out what they
could be going through and attempt to fix it.

In conclusion, I am very pleased with how this artwork came out. I hope I can produce
more in the near future, and hopefully build upon my skills. One day, I will look back at this piece
of art, and probably chuckle at how bad it might be compared to what the future holds. I will
continue to indulge in my own and others' art, and explore the endless possibilities of it.
