Clifford Chance Business Services (CCBS) provides a wide range of IT Enabled


Services to its client/parent company, Clifford Chance LLP. Having grown
steadily over ten years, the company employs ~600 highly skilled and
experienced professionals enabling the organization to successfully support
its client in the following areas:

 Finance
 Information Technology
 Business and Research Solutions
 Legal Support Centre
 Document Production Unit
 Project Management and Continuous Improvement

The AVP- Finance Systems will work closely with the Portfolio Manager –
Finance Systems to deliver a capital expenditure programme of integrating
data across systems to ensure there is a single version of truth across the
firm. Provides strategic direction for the global financial systems strategy,
governance, functional support, and related system implementation
activities.

Key Responsibilities
 Proactively identify system requirements for the future and update
the roadmap of IT systems needed by Finance, in consultation with
the Finance Systems Portfolio Manager
 Participate, organize and lead finance teams in project migrations and
upgrades, the delivery of new system functionality and other system
related projects.

 Work with the Finance Systems Portfolio Manager to ensure global


finance teams are in receipt of robust and reliable finance systems.

 Continuously monitor and review the existing systems and processes


and implementation of requisite changes and controls.
 Coordinating across the firm to align around best practice.
 Ownership of the finance systems intranet page.
 Expanding the scope and functionalities of the ERP and owning all
processes related to financial controls and compliance.
 Identify scope for standardisation and improvement of systems and
automation / integration opportunities.
 Working with Finance Systems product teams to detail out
requirements of financial systems and integration with the operating
systems.
 Driving adoption, automation and compliance of ERP and internal
systems within the finance and related business teams.
 Driving process excellence and automation in all financial processes
with respect to AP, AR, Inter-office, Fixed Assets, treasury
management etc.
 Develop and maintain the team's tasks and projects that are to be
included in the Group Finance departmental plans.

 Periodic review and revision of application security model in the ERP


to accommodate the changing needs of the business.
 Lead the finance systems community, develop and accelerate the
workstreams identified by the global systems community.

 Serve as “hands-on” escalation point to identify and suggest


approaches to resolve reporting and project related issues.
 Responsible for the planning, design and development of training
materials and execution training sessions for end users, based on
specific requirements needed.
 Manage effective working relationships with other departments,
groups and colleagues with whom work must be coordinated or
interfaced.

 Manage professional development of the team, providing mentoring


and timely feedback on performance as well as opportunities to
develop through training and involvement in projects.
 Assist with special projects, as needed.

Key Requirements
 12+ years in financial systems or finance/accounting role(s) within a
large, multi-national company, with significant experience leading a
team responsible for implementation and maintenance of financial
systems and providing systems support to financial reporting and
FP&A functions.
 Education: B.Com/M.Com/ Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance or
Equivalent.

 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to build


stakeholder buy-in and drive consensus by sharing the value
proposition.
 Strong project management capabilities.
 Ability to create and execute financial systems roadmap.
 Expertise in functional support in ERP (Oracle 12.2 or higher).

 Experience in HFM and Hyperion Planning - V11.1.2.4.

 Understanding of accounting, financial related processes (GL, AP, FA,


Inter-office, Billing and Cash management etc.) and ERP
implementation and support.
 Good analytical skills, should be comfortable with analysis tools e.g
PL/SQL and general understanding of ERP platforms, data structures
and user interfaces

 Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite .

 Working knowledge of Keystone and experience of the Legal systems


is an ideal advantage.

 Understanding of project management methodologies and best


practice.

 Excellent external and internal stakeholder relationship management.


 Ability to come up with new ideas, iterate and execute independently.
 Good presentation skills with ability to compile credible facts and
figures.
 Strong knowledge/understanding of financial consolidation and
reporting requirements.
