1.0 Technical Specification

1. Type of Gearbox Shaft mounted planetary to suit the AC VF Drive motor application as
follows.
2. Application of gearbox 1X For De-juicing device Chain conveyor.

4. Installed motor power & Speed 3.7kW (5HP), 1440RPM (Synchronous Speed) , overload duty
condition – 100% continuous, 125% for 2 hours and 200 % for 10
seconds.
5. Motor output speed 140 to 1440RPM (10% to 100% of the motor rated speed), continuously
variable, Bi – directional rotation.
6. Type of motor drive AC VFD, constant output torque, calculated at the rated motor output
speed.
7. Reduction ratio of Gearbox 900 : 1 Nominal (1440 RPM : 1.6 RPM)
8. Gearbox selection to be done on 3.7 kW (5 HP), 1440RPM (Synchronous Speed)
power & Speed
9. Duty Continuous, 24 Hours/day, ambient temperature 40 0 C
10. Mounting a. Gearbox input shaft – Horizontal, solid cylindrical,
suitably coupled to the flange mounted AC VF Drive
motor output shaft.
b. Gearbox output shaft – Horizontal, hollow which is
mounted on the equipment shaft.
c. Equipment shaft end – Horizontal, solid shaft
Maximum possible step diameter of Ø 130 mm. The
length of the step shall be maintained as per the
recommendation of the gearbox manufacturer.
d. Gearbox shall be of shaft mounted type with torque
arm arrestor.

11. Bearing life 50000 hours minimum. Estimated life shall be declared with back-up
calculations in the working conditions mentioned in this specification.
12. Service factor The unit shall be designed for continuous duty, 220 days per year,
moderate shock loads application. Estimated life in hours, of the unit
shall be declared by the manufacturer with back-up calculations, in the
working conditions mentioned above. The service factor shall be
minimum 2.0, on the duty condition as mentioned in point no. 8 above.
