INTRODUCTION

Charging stations are also called electric vehicle supply

equipment (EVSE) and are provided in municipal parking
locations by electric utility companies or at retail
shopping centers by private companies. These stations
provide special connectors that conform to the variety of
electric charging connector standards.

Electric Vehicles are increasingly being produced, and

with the government’s push towards electric mobility to
combat rising pollution, we are a step closer to realising
this ambitious dream. In the last two years, more electric
vehicles hit the road in India. Over 15,000+ units were
sold in 2020, while 50,500+ units were sold in 2021.

As demand grows for more publicly accessible charging

stations, there is a greater need for equipment that
supports faster charging at higher voltages and currents.
The number of electric vehicle networks is increasing to
provide a system of publicly accessible charging stations
for EV recharging.
2
ABOUT COME-EV
An electric vehicle charging station is equipment
that connects an electric vehicle (EV) to a source of
electricity to recharge electric cars, neighborhood
electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. COME-EV
have planed the advanced features such as smart
meteriing, cellular capability and network
connectivity, and more…

COME-EV provide an electric charging station every

15 kilometres in Highways, And except all Charging
station are given as Franchise-[both for car and bike]

COME-EV has Three Levels :-

1] Level 1 Charging (Slow Charging)

2] Level 2 Charging (Standard Charging)

3] Level 3 Charging (Rapid Charging)

21
Level 1 Charging (Slow Charging):

It is a primary charging device that charges

at a sluggish rate. It may be used on
residential circuits and runs 120 volts (V)
using an Alternating Current (AC) connector.
This device takes around 8 to 12 hours to
charge a battery. It is primarily used in
households to charge electric vehicles
overnight.
AC
Level 2 Charging (Standard Charging):

A 240 volts (V) AC socket allows for a

charging duration of 4 to 6 hours on
average. It works with all-electric vehicles,
including plug-in hybrids. The majority of
these stations are found in public parking
lots and business and residential structures.

Level 3 Charging (Rapid Charging):

Using a 480 volts (V) Direct Current (DC)

socket can charge in 20-30 minutes. It is
DC
not, however, compatible with all-electric
vehicles. They are only put at public
charging stations.

DC

This is the most common charging Fast chargers for electric vehicles
method for electric vehicles with a make use of DC charging; they
plug. When plugging an electric convert the power before it enters
vehicle into a normal charge point, the vehicle. After conversion, the
the power gets converted inside power goes directly into the car
the vehicle, then moves into the car battery, bypassing the car’s
battery. Charging speeds depend converter.
on the output power of the charge
point as well as the convertor’s
capabilities to convert the power to
DC. LOCATION
