Journal week 12

This week went by very fast and most of it was dealing with the wrap up of Doctor Dad

Program. Demetri is very excited about and so am I. I finished creating a review to each of the

books we plan to cover from the Well child, sick child, safe child, and injured child. It is a

program written by Care Net which once again is also a prolife ministry run nonprofit. They are

the umbrella covering many clinics and medical centers. We talked a lot more about what will

happen in May when the internship ends, and I am excited for the next stage of life but am also

very nervous. I feel like this clinic is my calling and both Demetri and Daria have expressed

interest in bringing me on staff. However it is the board who is the last say on if I will be hired or

not. I am sure having the Director of the fatherhood program and the executive director over the

entire clinic helping advocate for me will give a good reference when I advocate for a position

on their team.

In patient care we received a few dads this week however it was slow. Demetri showed

me how to get the statistics from the number patients and how to use them and their testimonies

to send in the newsletter to keep the board updated on the progress of the fatherhood program

which was nonexistent a year ago today.
