NEW Bruker software for S1 TITAN/CTX/TRACER 5

Bruker S1 2.6.56.370
A new version of instrument software has been released; the new version 2.6.56.370 replaces the previous
2.4.54.352.

The new version can be downloaded from ownCloud document site: \HH-XRF\Software\S1 Software updates.

Release Notes for BrukerS1 2.6.56.370 (compared to 2.4.54.352)

New Features
• Type Standardization is now supported down to 19Fluorine
• New warning message when TRACER 5 collimator is not installed
• The Spectrometer Mode can be enabled/disabled under safety settings
o For S1 TITAN & CTX the default is disabled
o For TRACER 5 the default is enabled
• Renamed grade libraries DIN and DIN plus to EN-DIN and EN-DIN plus
• Grade ID nominal chemistry is now applied to all phases
o Updated Grade Libraries, EN-DIN, EN-DIN plus, Standard to include Carbon and Beryllium for
extension of nominal chemistry
• 100 limitation for special units is removed
• Coefficient libraries sorted in alphabetical order
• Grade libraries sorted in alphabetical order
• Armed status is now indicated on the start screen. When all safety features are activated and the
instrument goes into an armed state, the label will switch from “Not Armed” on white background to
“Ready to Test” on green background

Bugs Fixed
• TSV format was not written to instrument or corruptly written to the USB Stick
• Fixed several issues with Unicode in TSV file format
• Proximity sensor setting on CTX can no longer be changed
• Deactivating backscatter did not work for RunOrder
• Restricted Materials did not retain setting selected under display menu
• When GradeID was used and correctly determined, in some cases the GradeID was reported as
“SPECTRUM” in the Results.csv, TSV format and the PDZ file instead of the Grade
• In the Settings screen the status bar was partially covered
• The camera’s live checkbox could crash the software
• In a limit assay the window was green, but the text background was white
• Fixed spelling of “Back Scatter” to “Backscatter” in several languages
• In German language setting, replaced “Uebereinstimmung” with Match, for better screen fit

A new version of instrument software has been released; the new version 1.8.0.136 replaces the previous
1.7.0.128.

New Features
• Added Logout function under Menu Tools
• Updated “About…” window under Menu Help with new company information
• Added support for new Coating Thickness Mode, features not yet released for instrument
• Spectrum Viewer:
o Hotkey for “UnZoom” added, “Ctrl + Z”
o M-lines added
o Clear button added to periodic table, to deselect element lines
o Z+/Z- button added to scroll through elements in periodic table
o Added “Show Background”, draws a visual line of the background used for the ROI calculations
o Improved user interface for “General Options”
o Added remaining counter for Back to Back assays

Bugs Fixed
• User level was able to access Password.csv, this is no longer possible
• Elapsed Time in Report Generator was reporting incorrect time
• Spectrum Viewer:
o When Overlay Spectrum was enabled and no file was selected, closing the window
with “OK” would crash the software, this will give a warning message now
o In Periodic Table the energy line was not displayed correctly
o Improved Region of Interest calculations for low energy range
