Issue being tackled: Unsustainable and Unethical Fashion

Project goal: promote sustainable fashion, host an event that would keep old or unwanted
clothes out of landfills.
My community outreach project: Over the span of a few weeks, place collection boxes at FC,
other high schools (maybe), churches (maybe) and have people donate clothing, shoes, jewelry,
accessories (includes bags, sunglasses, hats, etc.).
Host a flea market maybe in the vibe district or in FC student parking lot, football field, or gym if
the weather is bad.
Advertise online using canvas and have people spread it around. Not just FC students but
friends, family, coworkers, etc. can come.
Clothing will be priced
- Tops = $1
- Shorts = $2
- Jeans = $3
- Jewelry = $0.50
- Bags = $3
- Shoes = $3
- Skirts = $2
- Sunglasses = $1
All funds will be used to pay expenses, any leftover funds will be donated to:
● Sustainable Apparel Coalition
● Eco-Age
● Fashion Revolution
● Redress - reduce textile waste in asia
● Ellen Macarthur Foundation
All leftover clothes will be donated to thrift stores
