2.2.

3 Servo Motor Replacement

※ CAUTION
– Necessary tools: crosshead screwdriver or drill bit, 4mm and 5mm hex keys
– When replacing servo motors, be sure to turn off the power to Motion Chairs.
– After removing the rubber cover from the gear reducer, locate the 4mm bolt by

inserting a 4mm hex key into the hole.


– Fix the reducer bolt using a Torque Wrench.

1. Remove 2 bolts from the bottom cushion


using a crosshead drill bit or screwdriver.

2. Partially pull out the bottom cushion

and disconnect the 2 attached cables.

3. Partially unscrew 8 bolts (about halfway)

from the bellows using a crosshead drill bit


or screwdriver.

4. Lower the bellows.

5. Disconnect the cables from the servo


motor.

* Power cable
* Encoder cable

6. Remove 4 bolts from the servo motor
using a 5mm hex key.

7. Remove the rubber cover attached to the

gear reducer.

8. Remove 1 bolt from the gear reducer using a


4mm hex key.

9. Pull on the servo motor and separate it from


the gear reducer.

10. To assemble, follow in reverse order of the

steps above.

※ Fix the clamp ring used by torque
