Part 2:

- The various stakeholders of our business are investors, employees, customers, suppliers,
the media, communities, and governments.
- Some of the thing we can do to benefit our community other than providing jobs and
tax revenue:
+ Contributing financially to non-profit organizations or charity fundraising events. For
example:
+ Charging extra for plastic eating utensils or encouraging buyers not to pick them up
when they are not needed.
- A business entity depends both on internal and external factors to function smoothly.
+ Inflation: Inflation reduces the purchasing power of money since more money is now
needed to buy the same items. It leads to lower levels of consumer spending and a fall
in sales for businesses.
+ Competitive Environment: The competitive environment has intensified with new
technologies and the rise of consumer expectations. Staying competitive is a challenge
for every business, and benefits such as customer service, employee knowledge, and
high quality can help a business survive.
+ The Legal Environment: the legal environment of business is the most complex and
potentially dangerous external factor a business face. There are many regulations, laws,
and liabilities that companies must cope with to stay in business. For example: Tide is
airing commercials not to promote the marvels of its laundry detergent but to warn
parents to keep the Tide pods away from children, who may be tempted to eat them.
+ Technological Environment: Almost daily, businesses drive to technology to reach
customers, produce their products, and provide services. Consumers can conveniently
shop for products and services without leaving their homes or desk. The disadvantage to
businesses is that consumers can also compare competitors’ prices, benefits, features,
and services (which shows environmental technology can affect another-the
competitive environment).
+ Social Environment: The social environment of business encompasses the consuming
public's values, attitudes, beliefs, wants, and desires. In addition to ethnic diversity and
age, the social environment brings forces such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
