Directions:

You have spent a lot of time reflecting on your life experiences, self-efficacy, and
employability skills (Lesson 1). You also have been brainstorming various pathways you
might take in the future, and started practicing how to write S.M.A.R.T.E.R. goals to reflect
those dreams (Lesson 2). You were also challenged to make sure those dreams spoke to
your inner passions.

For this assignment, you will choose one of your dream occupations and fill out the
worksheet below. This worksheet asks you to name your dream job and describe it for us.
You will then look at your life experiences and the passions you have displayed for this
type of work. You will also let us know that you are familiar with the employability skills
(qualifications) needed to perform this job. In conclusion, you will communicate the short
and long-term goals you have for this line of work. Your goals should be written in a way
that is specific and measurable. We also want to know how you plan to make your impact
on the world through this position. We encourage you to think big and share your future
plans with us!

the Student Edition and also on Canvas. This will help walk you through the
assignment and make sure you include all the required elements.

MY DREAM JOB
Title of Dream Job (2 pts.): Dermatologist
Job Description: (describe your dream job in 3 sentences)

Dermatologist is a doctor who is responsible to diagnosis treatment and

prevention of skin, hair, and nail diseases. It is a specialty with both medical and

surgical aspects. There are more than three thousand skin diseases that affect children,

adults and the elderly.

Life Experiences and Passions: (write about why this is your dream job based on your
life experiences and passions in 3 sentences)

I always had a lot of problems with my skin. I've had acne since I was 8 years old and it's

always been something that has bothered me. I have been doing treatments and have

always been in contact with professionals in the area.

Job Qualifications: (describe the employability skills you will need for this position in 3
sentences)

For this work a lot of knowledge about the area is needed as there are many variations of

problems that occur frequently. Also, you need to be able to communicate with people

because you deal with very different people in different ways. And finally, you must have

knowledge of anatomy in general for a better understanding of your area.

In this work I hope to be able to complete at least one course in about 4 months to get a

broader view of this area of ​care. In this FUAM course I want to be able to deepen my

knowledge during medical school. When complete I hope to see if it really is an area that

I like.

Long-Term Impact: (describe the long-term impact you hope to make in this job in 3
sentences)

In this work I want to be able to help people with the same problem that I'm going through

making a difference for those who are uncomfortable with this type of problem that is very

common. In addition, maybe a simple thing for me is something very big for the other person,

when exercising this type of profession the impact can be much greater than you can imagine.
