Topic: Study On The Factors that Affect Willingness to Pay Taxes for Digital Earners

Advantages

1. The topic is relevant and relatable with numerous potential respondents and sources of data.
2. In this new set up where business transactions and jobs are conducted online, there is a
need to assess just how willing people are to comply with their responsibilities as citizens when
it comes to paying their taxes and dues.
3. This relates and addresses a developing dispute between the Philippine Government and
digital earners about income earned online.

Disadvantages

1. It can be a controversial topic considering the recent issues online.

2. There is a lack of tax legislation for digital earners, so it can be difficult for digital earners to
relate to some questions that we will ask.
3. Although this is a very relevant and pressing topic, the researchers will have to take into
consideration the possibility of the conclusions leading to the majority not being that willing to
pay taxes and if so, even if we propose possible solutions, we can’t reassure them that it will be
very effective and bring a positive and significant change to society.
