These instructions will go through the step-by-step
process to make a plain old piece of paper into a fancy paper boat! CAUTION: Be wary of paper cuts if handling rough paper.
Tools/Products Needed: 1 piece of plain copy paper
with dimensions of 8.5” x 11” (or similar substitute with 7. Fold opposite corners of the open fold towards similar dimensions) each other, creating a square.
1. Fold the paper in half vertically (hamburger
style).
8. Repeat step 6 then fold open sides to the top (one
on each side).
2. From the crease fold the corners into the middle
of the paper, creating two right triangles with a small amount remaining at the bottom.
3. Lift one-half of the opened bottom towards the
top of the paper, overlapping the previous folds.
9. Repeat step 6.
4. Repeat to the other side of the paper.
5. Open the fold from the bottom, giving it space within the bottom. 10. Repeat step 9.
6. Tuck the exposed corners into the adjacent flaps.
11. Allow the fold to open, and find the two upright flaps. Grab flaps and open up your boat.
12. Pull flaps apart and fix boat to your liking.
13. Enjoy your boat!
