The graph shows the number of Covid-19 reported cases and deaths in Romania.

As we can see,
we had 4 infection waves in Romania, a small one, at the beginning of the pandemic (march-april 2020),
and 3 big ones (December 2020, March and October 2021).

So far, the worst wave was the 4th one, when we peaked a number of around 19.000 infections
in a single day.

Althought now we’re on a “quiet” period of infectation, if we look at the trends in the past 2
years, the Covid-19 pandemic is not even close to it’s end, especially in Romania, where the percentage
of vaccination is still very low compared to the rest of European Union.
