• Two Types
– Depletion Type
• Channel region is already diffused between the
Drain and Source
• Deplete, or “pinch-off” the Channel
– Enhancement Type
• No channel region exists between the Drain and
Source
• “Invert” the region between the Drain and Source
to induce a channel
