A description of the measuring technique is available separately. IMI ‘The test specimen was designated by the manufacturer as 300 Spear Curtainwall. ‘The overall dimensions of the specimen as measured were nominally 1.64 m (64.5 in.) wide by 2.73 m (107.5 in.) high and 152 mm (6 in, thick, ‘The specimen was installed by the mamufacturer/contractor directly into the laboratory's 2.74 m (9 ft) by 4.27 m (14 8) wood-lined steel frame. A substantial filler wall was used in the remaining open area. Both the filer wall and test specimen were sealed on the periphery (both sides) with dense mastic. ‘The manufacturer's description of the specimen was as follows: 300 Spear Curtainwall, an aluminum extruded fixed frame window with a horizontal transom, ‘The glazing consisted of Viracon 1 -1/16" Insulating Glazing (5/16" CLR HS — 1/2" AS [9/16 SL] — 1/4" GRN'BS B ~ 2Mil2), The face side of the pane! was complete with two glazed units Surface mounted and covering the structural frame, On the face the upper glazing was measured as 1.61 m (63.25 in) wide by 718 mm (28.25 in.) high and the lower glazing was measured as 1.6] m (63.25 in,) wide by 2.01 m (79 in.) bigh. ‘There was a nominal depth of 127 mm (S in.) between the outermost edge of the frame on the back side of the panel and the inside surface of the glass, ‘The upper glazing on the back side of the panel was completely sealed within the framing. A solid aluminum plate was recessed & nominal 51 mm (2 in.) into the cavity ancl overlaid with foil backed mineral ‘woo! insulation. Daylight opening of the lower glazing as measured from the back side of the panel was 1.52 m (60 in.) wide by 1.91 m (7S in.) bigh, ‘The manufacturer's detailed drawing is maintained on file, Project: SRV Residential Towers; Drawing Number: ME-O6; Issue Date 01-12-06; Internal Job Number: 2427; Revision Number: 01, i “This epet sal not bo rproduces except in ul thou the wile apron of RAL ACCREDITED RY DEPARTUENT OF COMMERCE, NATIONAL VOLUNTARY LABORATORY panyluag Aecreoranion pocnau Fon SELECTED TEST METHODS FOR ACOUSTIC. ‘THE LABORATORY'S ACCREDITATION OR ANY OF ITS TEST REPORTS iN NO WAY CONSTITUTES: OR IuPLIES PRONUCT CeRFIRATION APPAAWAL AR FUNMRRP MENT AY NIT RIVERBANK ACOUSTICAL LABORATORIES 1512 S.
