Dear Church Family,
A little girl visiting grandma joined her for church. She
heard in her children’s class that God is bigger than us
and he lives in us. When she sat with Grandma for the
worship service, the pastor spoke in his sermon about
God being the light. Something in those thoughts
troubled her and Grandma could see by the look on
her face she needed to share what was on her mind.
When they got in the car to head back to Grandma’s
house, Grandma asked, “Honey what’s troubling you
I can tell by the look on your face?” Her little grand-
daughter replied with a question, “Grandma, Is God
bigger than we are?” “Why, yes,” grandma replied,
“He’s much bigger than we are.” Her granddaughter
asked another question, “Does God live in us?”
Grandma answered, “Yes sweetie, He certainly does!”
“Grandma? Is God full of light?” “Why yes dear, he is!”
Well then, her granddaughter said, if God is light, and
He lives in us, and He’s bigger than us, why doesn’t
He shine through more often?
