Invest in a self-study centre

Introduction
The report is intended to explain how convenient it would be to have a self-study centre, outline
the advantages and disadvantages of proceeding with the construction, and make
recommendations. In order to do this, I have recently visited the self-study center at a local
university.
Advantages
Several students thought that that the worksheets provided give extra practice of classroom
work. Other learners said that having a space for themselves allows them to study according to
their individual needs.  Furthermore, potential students could be attracted by the facilities that a
university provides.
Disadvantages
The main concerns that were identified are as follows:
1. It would be costly to set up because of all the computers, furniture, etc.
2. The teachers that create the materials for the centre would have to invest their own free time
3. Hire a full-time assistant who has to be on duty even if the centre is empty.
Recommendations
Despite all the things considered above, there are strong arguments for the construction of the
centre. I would therefore recommend investing money in this project.
