Introduction

This report is about the Ford Mustang. It is an American muscle-car that

is being produced by the car manufacturer Ford. There are two kinds of
muscle-cars produced by Ford. One of them is the Mustang and the other
one is the Shelby. The Shelby Mustang is a high performance variant of
the Ford Mustang which was built by Shelby American from 1965 through
1970. Following the introduction of the fifth generation Ford Mustang,
the Shelby nameplate was revived in 2007 for new high performance
versions of the Mustang. You also have the Mustang Boss 302 which is the
remake of the popular ‘69 Mustang. That one is released in spring 2011.
The Mustang is also participating real races. The Mustang you can buy and
drive in urban areas have the same specifications as the Mustangs that
are at the circuit. The first mustang was made in 1964 and it is still in
being driven today. The logo of the mustang is that of a muscular
horse(mustang) and the logo of the Shelby is a cobra. Mustang logo is in
the middle and the Cobra is on the right side of the front grill. The new
2012 models, the logos are both on the right.
The First Mustang

The first Ford Mustang was shown at the World's Fair in New York on
April 17th, 1964. Sometimes referred as the 1964 1/2 model because it
came out five months earlier than the regular model year, Ford called it a
1965 model. The first Mustangs cost less than $3,000. The original
Mustang had two doors only and came in convertible, hardtop and fastback
styles. It supported engines from the Thriftpower 2.8L to the 7.0L Boss.
It had adjustable seats and an AM radio standard. The first Mustangs
were produced in San Jose, California, Dearborn, Michigan and Metuchen,
New Jersey. Today, a 1964 Mustang can cost anywhere from a few
hundred dollars for a rusted clunker to nearly $20,000 for one in good
condition.

Mustangs Of Today

The earliest predecessor of the 2006 Ford Mustang was first launched in
1964, 47 years ago. During that time, it has achieved an uncommon status
among American cars for establishing the pony car genre, outliving its
tough rivals. For example the Barracuda, Camaro and Firebird. Retaining a
retro inspiration that is nevertheless as modern as ever. In fact, the
2006 Ford Mustang is faster and more agile than its predecessors, which
is a great way to continue a remarkable tradition in car manufacturing.
The 2006 Ford Mustang comes as either a coupe-type or a convertible. To
be sure, either one is for those who like speed, style and power all rolled
into one package. The only difference is whether on prefers the wind
rushing through one’s hair, or likes the feel of being in a high-speed
capsule ripping through the highway.

Conclusion

The Ford Mustang is a muscle car. It was produced to compete in races

but also to be able to ride a race car in urban areas. You buy a Ford
Mustang to drive a race car in your neighborhood. Without all the
sponsors stickers and spoilers like on the race version, but still able to
drive it with the same specifications. That's why I like the Mustang so
much. It's a race car you can own and drive like a normal one.
