Open ended Questions

17. What did you like about the internship/student-teaching program?

The thing that I like about the internship/student-teaching program is that I could interact
with different teachers and students. At the same time, it is such a nice experience to
bring the students to the different classes including Arts, PE, Music, and Fast for Word. It
really helps me to have a wider experience regarding what the international school looks
like. Plus, since the school does not only focus on teaching but also on character, the
students are respectful and kind to their classmates and teachers.

The next thing that is we also have chat groups such as Work-related notices, ATK
submission, etc… so that we can easily connect and share our concerns. I also learn that
we often have a meeting on Thursday to discuss the purpose and rules of the school,
Covid-19 regulations, students’ dismissal, etc… Plus, we also have a workshop which
helps me know about school more. Indeed, it is such a nice experience to do an internship
at AIMS because I really learn a lot from my experiences.

18. What do you think needs to improve?

The main thing that I should improve is “Don’t focus on detail” because I usually go
beyond the limited time of “40 mins”. For example, as I perceive the lesson, the students
might ask a certain question such as “Why we can see the moon during the day?” Indeed,
I don’t want to stop the students from asking the question because the only thing that the
students can learn is when they ask the question.
