1. Project Title “English Camp” for Thairath Wittaya 68 School

4. Rationale:
This academic service is organized for second and third-year students to have the opportunity
to apply the skills and knowledge they received in method classes and to serve the need of the
nearby schools by teaching simple English to Kindergarten and Primary students.

5. Objectives:
Strategic Objective 3.1  
Collaborate with local schools and community leaders 
 To build relationship with Thairath Wittaya School leaders 
Strategic Objective 3.2 
Encourage student participation in community outreach by increasing internships and
service-learning projects within the curriculum 
 To inspire students in the program to serve their community 
Strategic Objective 3.5 
Utilize teaching skills to deliver services to the community 
 To allow students in the program to learn by doing through participating in the
academic service 
 To apply teaching methods and skills through conducting activities that
encourage students of Thairath Wittaya School to speak in English 

6. Venue of the Project Thairath Wittaya 68 School, Muaklek, Saraburi

7. Duration of the Project February 8 – 9, 2022 (8:30 am – 11:15 am)
8. Participants

 2 teachers and 1 staff

 15 students from EDUC 361 and EDUC 460
 123 students from Grade 1-5 from Thairath Wittaya School
9. Steps and Plans of the Project
Planning Stage
1. Contact the school administration
2. Propose schedule to visit the school
3. Discuss event with the class
 4. Write a proposal for the project
Procedures
1. Decide on what kind of activities
2. Divide students into group
3. Assign students in charge of each activities
4. Provide a translator for each group
5. Decide what transportation should be taken and think about the cost
6. Assign who would purchase all the materials used in the activities
7. Carry out the plan
8. Evaluate the project
Steps of Summary and Evaluation of activities
1. Evaluation form will be distributed to students who organize the activities.
2. Evaluation form will be collected and the scores tabulated.
3. Evaluation result will be reported to FOE Committee.
4. Improvement for future events will be determined.

10. Expected results

1. Students of AIU will enjoy serving the community.
2. Students of AIU will learn something meaningful in participating in academic service.
3. Students of Thairath Wittaya 68 School have acquired English vocabulary.
4. Students of Thairath Wittaya 68 School have engaged in activities that encourage
them to learn English
