FEATURES OF THE FUSION MODULE 1000C KANO DATA CENTER TIER IV

The Kano data center is divided into two. We have the office building 900m 2 and the prefab DC 600m2
Thus, the Prefab DC has a total number of 72 network Racks and AC have 18 racks in total.
Includes Huawei’s intelligent power supply and distribution technology, iPower, the iCooling intelligent
thermal management solution that improves power usage effectiveness (PUE), and iManager, a
centralized, smart management solution. These innovations helps to build a data center solution that is
simple, green, intelligent, and secure.
1) The solutions features is a high-efficiency SmartLi UPS, an in-row cooling (AC), hot aisle containment, low
heat transfer coefficient enclosure, and industry-leading Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). One-stop
delivery effectively reduces site construction waste and pollution.

2) The Kano data center falls into the category model of Huawei fusion module 1000C, by this, it is a
prefabricated building and smart modular DC technology. All key facilitates are prefabricated in the factory,
pre-integrated and pre-tested to minimized onsite workload, and also to accelerate deployment.

3) With the prefabricated modules, which are classified into based functions, equipment Mechanical
Electrical Plumbing (MEP) cooling, power, and hydropower – the solution is configured with
Huawei’s Data center based technology system with addition of Artificial intelligence (AI, through
cooling, iPower, and IManager technologies, it improves return of investment (ROI) and internal
return rates (IRR) across the data center lifecycle, helping customers to achieve business success.

THE COMPLETE STAGE OF KANO DATA CENTER TIER IV

Because the Nigeria government authority gave an approval for prefabrication data center, thus the team
went into the HLD & LLD design and we start the prefabrication for the prefab modules and the
equipment, hence we have installed all the prefab modules and network modules and other equipment.
Furthermore, we are awaiting commissioning at this stage latest by March to it functional.
Office building structure has been completed structurally and we will finished the decoration by May 2022

THE CAPACITY OF THE DATA CENTER

The Tier IV prefab DC includes 66 IT racks and 6 networks racks, thus the load capacity is 4 kw each
racks.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER DATA CENTER

Kano data center Tier IV, is based on the concept of modularization, intelligence, which include but
not excluded, Artificial intelligence (AI)- based on automated inspection by professional staff for the
data center, and with a full scale lithium-ion batteries, SmartLi-Fussion Module 1000 C which is a

HOW WILL IT COMPLEMENT THE GBB TIER III DATA CENTER IN ABUJA
This prefab DC covers the Northern part in Nigeria, it will provides colocation and
cloud service as well as the back-up for GBB Tier III data center in Abuja
