Statement
March 12, 2021
‘CJ CheilJedang Corporation hereby certifies that genetically modified strain, E. coli KCCM 80236,
was developed from E. coli LS 5218 as a parent strain. This was verified by 16s DNA sequence
analysis with the eubacterial universal primers 27F 5'-AGA GTT TGA TCC TGG CTC AG-3" and
1492R 5°CGT TAC CTT GTT ACG ACT T-3", When the analyzed 16s rDNA sequence was
aligned with BLAST program, it was 100% identical with E. coli KCCM 80236.
‘Also, the origin of introduced foreign genes were identified by analyzing the sequence of E. coli
KCCM 80236. The phaA, phaB and phaC originated from Z. ramigera, sucD and orfZ from C.
Kluyveri, and ssaR from A. thaliana were confirmed,

Handling and storage
‘The lyophilized microorganism preparation must be stored at appropriate temperature in the orignal sealed container. The
|yophitzed preparations contain visble microorganisms that may, under certain cicumstances, produce disease. Proper
techniques must be employed to avoid exposure and contact with microorganism growth. The microbiology laboratory
must be equipped, and have the facilites to receive, process, maintain, store and dlepose of biohazard material, The
‘microbiology laboratories personnel using these devices must be trained, experienced and demonstrate proficiency in
processing, maintaining, storing end disposing of biohazard material
Exposure controls/personal protection
Respiratory protection Dusk mask or appropriate respirator. Utlize local exhaust ventilation
Protective gloves Rubber
Other protective equipment Wear appropriate laboratory apparel, protect exposed skin
Occupational exposure limits : Not established
Physical and chemical propertios
White, odorless and dry material
Stability and reactivity
When stored as directed, the Iyophiized microorganism preparations are stable until the last day of the stated month of
