STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I Shanty Antony, born in Kerala, India on 28 th August 1993,Bachelor of Science

(Medical Laboratory Technology) graduate from St. Thomas Allied Health
Science, Chethipuzha,Kerala, intend to pursue my higher studies on Master
of science in Health And Medical Education Hertfordshire , East of England,
UK.I did my schooling from St. Peter’s Higher Secondary school,
Kurumpanadom, under Kerala State board in 10th grade (2009). After that I
went to Govt. Higher Secondary school, Thottakkadu, which is also under
Kerala State board and scored 61% in 12th grade (2011). I completed my
undergraduate studies under Sikkim Manipal University in the period of 2011-
2015.After my graduation, I started my career by working as a Lab Technician
in KIMS Hospital, Pathadipalam, Kochi from 14 October 2015 to 19 October
2017 and also from 26th August 2019 to till date. I am married and my family
includes my Husband, Mr. Jophy Joseph who is a Radiographer and my son,
Master Juvan Jophy Joseph, who is two years old.

I prefer to study Master of science in Health and Medical Education

Hertfordshire, East of England, UK because I believe it has wide scope in India.
According to management experts, there is lot of job opportunities for those
who have acquired Master of Science in Health and Medical Education, due to
the expansion of health care systems in India. I strongly believe that, I would
become equipped with leadership and communication skills, corporate
innovation and entrepreneurship, leading and managing organizational
resources and innovative approaches in management. The course provides
opportunity to conduct a piece of individual postgraduate research, creating a
dissertation. In addition, this course is closely related to my under graduate
degree and can boost up my career to next level and I believe that with the
courses offered along with the teaching structure, I can broaden my knowledge
more and grow as a student, person and professional.

The Hertfordshire University is designed in such a way that, it will help me to

build a strong understanding of the operations of modern organizations and
updated information
about health care systems thus helps me to develop my skills for a better career
pursue. Moreover, this institution is considered as one of the best institutions

me as I am new in UK.

me. Also, the humble acceptance towards international students and the
peaceful atmosphere in the country made it easy to choose my study destination.
Above all, the calm and scenic natural beauty, and the opportunity to mingle
with people from multicultural background increased my affinity towards the
destination.

After pursuing my higher education in your esteemed university, I will come

back to my home city, since no other place could worth the happiness of home
country. I always need my family with me, and I need to take care of them.
Thereafter, I could join my previous firm in a good position with the help of this
education and experience I obtain from the training after the course. I strongly
believe that the Master’s from the reputed Hertfordshire University would
always remain a golden feather in my cap.
